Ubisoft does not publish a fixed duration for a temporary account lock. Its guidance says you will receive an email when the sanction is lifted, but it does not promise a wait time in minutes, hours, or days.
What to expect from a temporary Ubisoft account lock
Ubisoft says it cannot remove temporary locks placed on accounts. The account holder should watch for Ubisoft’s email notification that the sanction has been lifted; the notification is not a countdown or estimate of when access will return. Ubisoft also does not state how many failed sign-in attempts trigger a lock.
A temporary lock can prevent access to Ubisoft online games and services, as well as login pages on Ubisoft websites. Ubisoft lists too many failed login attempts as one possible reason, but says an account may be locked for other reasons too. Check whether it is an account lock or a game ban

What to do while you wait
- Check the email associated with the Ubisoft account for Ubisoft’s notice that the temporary sanction has been lifted.
- Avoid relying on unofficial claims that the lock lasts a particular number of minutes, hours, or days; Ubisoft’s cited guidance gives no fixed duration or failed-attempt threshold.
- If Ubisoft identifies the lock as permanent and you believe it was applied in error, submit an appeal with the sanctioned username and your reason.
Secure the account after access returns
Once you can sign in, Ubisoft recommends protecting your credentials, enabling 2-Step verification, and reviewing your login history for unfamiliar activity. These are account-security measures; Ubisoft does not say they shorten or remove an active temporary lock. Its guidance is available in Improving the security on your Ubisoft account.
