How long is the Preparation Phase?
Preparation is timed separately at 45 seconds under the same competitive settings. If both the 45-second Preparation Phase and 180-second Action Phase run their full timers, the two phases total 225 seconds, or 3 minutes 45 seconds. That is a sum of the published settings, not a fixed duration for every round.
Does every round last the full three minutes?
No. Three minutes is the Action Phase timer, not a guarantee that a round lasts that long. Ubisoft’s guide explains that attackers try to complete their objective before time expires or eliminate the opposing team; a round can therefore finish before the timer runs out. Do these timers apply to every Siege mode?
The 180-second Action Phase and 45-second Preparation Phase figures come from the 2026 competitive Bomb ruleset. They should not be assumed to apply to every playlist, limited-time mode, or custom match. Other settings may differ, and the game’s configuration can change with updates.

No. In the cited 2026 competitive rules, planting takes 7 seconds, defusing takes 7 seconds, and the bomb fuse lasts 45 seconds. These are objective-specific timers, not extra time to add to the 3-minute Action Phase.
