There is no definitive official time-to-beat estimate for Crimson Desert. Gaming publications put a focused main-quest run anywhere from about 35 to 100 hours, depending on what they count as a focused story playthrough; a 100% run may exceed 200 hours, according to GamesRadar+.
How many hours does Crimson Desert take to beat?
It depends on what “beat” means. The cited estimates range from 35–50 hours for a focused main-quest playthrough to roughly 60–100 hours for a run focused solely on the main story. These are separate editorial estimates, not results from a standardized comparison, so they should not be averaged into a single promised completion time.

Why do the main-story estimates differ?
“Main story” does not necessarily describe the same play style in every estimate. A run that sticks closely to the main quest and avoids most diversions can be shorter than one that still prioritizes the story but takes more time exploring, preparing, or completing related activities. Player pace and the definition of a story-focused run also matter. The publications do not provide a shared measurement method, so neither range should be treated as a controlled benchmark.
PlayStation’s Crimson Desert listing says Pearl Abyss has not provided a definitive time-to-beat estimate for the “golden path,” its term for the main story quest. It notes that Pywel’s scale and its side quests and activities suggest a length comparable to other major open-world adventures, but does not give an official hour count.

How long does it take to finish everything?
For a completionist goal, GamesRadar+ puts 100% completion at more than 200 hours. That is a publication’s estimate, not a guarantee that every player will reach the same result: what counts as “100%,” how thoroughly someone explores, and how efficiently they play can all affect the total.

A PC Gamer reviewer reported that after 75 hours they felt they had barely scratched the surface. That conveys the game’s perceived scale, but it is one reviewer’s experience—not a typical completion time or a claim that the main story requires 75 hours. PC Gamer

Which estimate should you use?
- You mainly want the central quest: Use 35–50 hours as the shorter, focused-play estimate, while recognizing GameSpot’s broader story-focused range is roughly 60–100 hours.
- You plan to explore and take on optional content: Expect your playtime to rise beyond a tightly focused story run; the cited sources do not assign a separate hour range to that middle ground.
- You want to complete everything: Treat more than 200 hours as GamesRadar+’s completionist estimate, not a fixed requirement.
