Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Add a diamond hoe and the total is 35.
Diamond armor and tools: the crafting counts
The total depends on whether you count a hoe among the tools. The Minecraft Wiki’s Diamonds tutorial defines its standard tool set as a pickaxe, sword, axe, and shovel.
| Items to craft | Diamonds required |
|---|---|
| Helmet, chestplate, leggings, and boots | 24 |
| Pickaxe, sword, axe, and shovel | 9 |
| Armor plus those four tools | 33 |
| Diamond hoe, if included | +2 |
| Armor plus all five tools, including a hoe | 35 |
What the total includes
These counts cover crafting one of each listed armor piece and tool. They do not include spare equipment, armor trims, enchantments, upgrades, or diamonds spent on other items. The Minecraft Wiki’s diamond entry provides background on diamond equipment and obtaining diamonds.
Which item should you craft first?
The Minecraft Wiki notes that many players use their first three diamonds to make a diamond pickaxe. That is a common gameplay choice, not a requirement: if your goal is to complete the whole set, budget for 33 diamonds—or 35 if you also want the hoe.
