There isn’t one total size for every copy of GTA 5. On PC, Rockstar lists 105 GB of disk space for Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced and 125 GB of HDD space for Grand Theft Auto V Legacy. Console store listings do not give a storage figure in the listing text reviewed, so check the installed game’s size on your PlayStation or Xbox.

Rockstar’s Enhanced PC listing was checked October 8, 2026. Steam’s Enhanced listing was released March 4, 2025, and Rockstar Support’s Legacy requirement is dated December 10, 2025.
Why the listed GB may differ from the installed size
A storage requirement tells you how much disk space to have available; it is not a guarantee that the installed game folder will measure exactly that amount. Steam explicitly warns that downloadable content and programming changes can alter requirements over time. Updates can therefore change what a current installation occupies.
What PC storage GTA 5 needs
GTAV Enhanced
For Enhanced on PC, plan for 105 GB of space. Steam also says an SSD is required. Rockstar specifies a DirectStorage-compatible drive in its store listing, so do not assume that every drive marketed as an SSD necessarily meets the stated requirement.

GTAV Legacy
For Legacy on PC, Rockstar Support lists a minimum of 125 GB of HDD space. These Legacy and Enhanced figures belong to different PC editions; use the requirement for the edition you intend to install rather than adding the numbers together.

To see the figure for your copy, open the console’s storage or game-management interface and view the installed game’s details. The number shown there reflects the edition and installed content on that device.
