IsThereAnyDeal currently surfaces HowLongToBeat estimates for the base game, with its page identifying an update dated January 12, 2023. The figures vary with how much of the game you aim to complete:

These are database estimates rather than results from a controlled timing study. They offer a rough way to plan, but they do not establish a fixed duration for an individual run. IsThereAnyDeal’s Dark Souls III listing attributes the figures to HowLongToBeat.
Why do other estimates differ?
A 2020 Tecnocampus report reproducing HowLongToBeat figures gave 32.5 hours for the main story, 47 hours for main story plus extras, and 91.5 hours for completionist play. The difference from the later surfaced listing shows why it is better to treat these as snapshots and approximate categories, not a precise universal average. Tecnocampus report (2020).

Do these times include the DLC?
No: the duration figures above are for the base-game listing, not a stated estimate for the expansions. Bandai Namco says The Fire Fades Edition includes the base game and both DLC chapters, Ashes of Ariandel and The Ringed City. The cited time estimates do not say how long those chapters add. Bandai Namco’s Dark Souls Trilogy page describes the complete package as including the base game and both DLC chapters.

The sources do not support a reliable hour-by-hour adjustment for experience, deaths, guide use, or exploration habits. Your actual time can differ, so use the figure for your chosen scope rather than as a deadline.
