But seven is not the full playable-character count across all described content: The Joker and Harley Quinn are playable in a separate Mayhem story mission and Mayhem Mode.
Who is in the seven-character original roster?
WB Games lists these seven original playable characters in its official FAQ. The official platform listings also describe the base game as featuring seven playable characters.

WB says each character has distinct skills, combos, and gadgets. Examples include Batman’s Batclaw, Jim Gordon’s foam sprayer, Robin’s line launcher, and Catwoman’s whip. That establishes differences in their tools, not how balanced or deep they are in play.
Are Joker and Harley Quinn playable?
Yes. WB’s FAQ and Xbox Wire’s May 5, 2026 coverage describe The Joker and Harley Quinn as playable in a separate Mayhem story mission and Mayhem Mode. So the seven-character figure refers to the original roster, not every character playable in all described content.

Do the 100 suits and outfits add more characters?
No. LEGO’s official game page says there are 100 suits and outfits to earn through the story campaign. These are alternate looks for playable characters, not 100 additional roster slots.

What kind of game is it?
DC describes the game as a Batman action-adventure drawing on the character’s history across film, television, comics, and games, with combat, stealth, and character abilities. WB positions it as a narrative-led action-adventure from TT Games. These descriptions provide context for the roster; they do not establish why the developers chose its size or how the systems perform.
