An unofficial estimate projected 16,420 Primogems for a free-to-play player during Genshin Impact Version 5.0, plus 22 Acquaint Fates and 15 Intertwined Fates. A second scenario that included the paid Gnostic Hymn Battle Pass and continuous Welkin Moon projected 20,880 Primogems, 26 Acquaint Fates and 15 Intertwined Fates. These were estimates, not guaranteed totals or an official HoYoverse reward count.
Version 5.0 Primogem estimate at a glance
| Scenario | Primogems | Acquaint Fates | Intertwined Fates |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free-to-play | 16,420 | 22 | 15 |
| Paid Battle Pass and continuous Welkin Moon | 20,880 | 26 | 15 |
The figures come from Sora’s independent Version 5.0 Primogem calculation, updated August 21, 2024. Its author described the projection as speculation based on earlier versions’ events and gameplay, not an official total. The paid scenario reflects the model’s assumed Battle Pass and Welkin Moon; it is not a free-to-play figure.
Primogems and Fates are listed separately because they are distinct reward types in the estimate. The figures should not be added together as if they were one currency.
What the estimate included
The calculation assumed Version 5.0 would last 42 days, from August 28 to October 9, 2024. These are modeled component totals, not independently audited rewards:

The calculation also assigned estimated rewards to Natlan exploration, world quests and achievements. Those amounts were uncertain because the available content and individual completion varied. Consequently, a player’s actual total depended on their account progression, which activities they completed and whether they claimed rewards within the relevant windows.
Official anniversary rewards were separate from the chart
HoYoverse announced Version 5.0, “Flowers Resplendent on the Sun-Scorched Sojourn,” for August 28, 2024, alongside the introduction of Natlan. Its anniversary announcement included 1,600 Primogems sent through in-game mail, up to ten Intertwined Fates through a special login event, and an option to invite a five-star character from the Standard Wish lineup. HoYoverse’s Version 5.0 announcement describes those rewards.

How to interpret the totals
- They describe a projection, not a recorded player balance. The chart estimated what activities and announced rewards could provide under its assumptions; it did not establish what every account ultimately earned.
- Some components were easier to specify than others. The daily-commission figure assumes all 42 days are completed, while exploration, quests and achievements depend on progress and uncertain content estimates.
- The version is historical. Version 5.0’s reward claim windows have passed, so the estimate is not a current claim guide or a promise of rewards still available.
