An account can be permanently terminated after one severe violation. Less serious violations may become more serious when they are repeated. Roblox says the result can depend on the type and impact of the violation, the account’s previous behavior, and the surrounding circumstances.

There is no fixed number. Roblox’s published moderation information describes a graduated system rather than a numeric threshold. Possible actions include:

Repeated violations can lead to increasingly severe consequences, but Roblox does not state that an account is deleted after two, three, five, or any other guaranteed number of bans. The company also says moderation decisions may be made manually, automatically, or through a combination of both methods.

Does Roblox use a three-strikes policy?
Not as a published, universal rule. Players sometimes describe a “three bans” or “three strikes” pattern based on their own experiences or community posts, but those reports do not establish an official Roblox-wide threshold.
Roblox gives an example of escalation from a warning to a timeout and then a suspension. That example illustrates how consequences can become more serious; it is not a guaranteed ladder that every account follows. A player might receive a different action for a similar-looking incident because Roblox considers the specific conduct, its impact, and the account’s history.
For that reason, counting previous warnings or bans cannot reliably predict when an account will be deleted. A serious violation can skip the earlier stages, while a less serious issue may result in a warning or temporary restriction.
What can cause immediate or serious account action?
Roblox’s Community Standards cover a wide range of prohibited conduct, including:

- misuse of Roblox systems.
The seriousness of the conduct matters more than a simple ban count. Roblox’s guidance on cheating and exploiting is especially direct: it says these actions violate the Terms of Use and will lead to account deletion. Roblox also warns that using a modified version of its application, or software that changes how Roblox works, may result in temporary suspension or permanent banning when the behavior is repeated.
This is why “How many bans until deletion?” is the wrong way to calculate the risk. A player should not assume that a first offense is safe, or that a warning guarantees another chance.

Is a ban from a Roblox game the same as a Roblox account ban?
No. A ban from one game—officially called an experience—usually comes from that experience’s creator, not from Roblox itself.
An experience creator can prevent you from entering that particular experience. This normally does not block your access to other Roblox experiences or delete your Roblox account. If you want to challenge an experience ban, you generally need to contact the experience’s creator or development team.
A platform-level Roblox moderation action is different. Roblox can restrict your account’s access to the platform, suspend it, or terminate it. Therefore, an experience ban should not be counted as one of the “strikes” supposedly leading to Roblox account deletion. The two systems are separate.

Can Roblox ban alternate accounts?
Yes. Roblox’s Terms of Use reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate the Terms or Community Standards. They also allow Roblox to take action against alternate accounts associated with a terminated account.

If Roblox associates an alternate account with a terminated account, that account may also be suspended or terminated.
What should you do if Roblox bans or deletes your account?
- Read the moderation notice. Check whether the action concerns your account, a particular piece of content, or only one experience.
- Identify the appeal route. Roblox may direct you to Violations & Appeals or to the Roblox Support form.
- Submit one clear appeal. Explain what happened, identify the moderation action, and provide relevant context. Avoid sending multiple appeals for the same action.
- Act within the deadline. For ordinary account appeals, Roblox currently states that an appeal must be submitted within 30 days of the moderation action.
- Wait for the review. Roblox says that submitting an appeal does not guarantee that the moderation action will be removed.
Duplicate appeals for the same action are not reviewed, so sending repeated forms is unlikely to improve the result. If you are in the European Union, Roblox describes additional appeal rights under the Digital Services Act, including a six-month period for appealing an initial moderation action. Those rights are geographic-specific and do not replace the ordinary deadlines that may apply elsewhere.
How to avoid account deletion
- Follow Roblox’s current Community Standards and Terms of Use.
- Do not use exploits, cheats, scripts, or software that modifies how Roblox operates.
- Do not use unofficial or modified Roblox applications.
- Do not assume that a warning means future violations will be treated lightly.
- Remember that content, chat, trading, scams, harassment, and other conduct can all lead to moderation.
- If you believe an action was mistaken, use the official appeal route rather than trying to evade it with another account.
Bottom line
Roblox has no publicly stated number of bans that automatically causes account deletion. Repeated violations can increase the severity of penalties, but a serious violation may result in permanent termination immediately. Also, a ban from one Roblox experience is not the same as a Roblox-wide account ban and should not be counted toward account deletion.

Does a ban from one Roblox game count toward account deletion?
Usually, no. A game or experience creator can ban you from that one experience without deleting or restricting your entire Roblox account. Roblox-wide moderation is a separate system.
