The Mirage Boat does not have a confirmed $40,000 retail price. That figure is a reported estimate for pursuing it through a rare-item gacha route in Where Winds Meet; actual spending can vary with luck, grinding and region. A separate creator estimate puts the possible total between $40,000 and $72,000, but neither figure is an official price or a verified average.
Is the Mirage Boat really a $40,000 purchase?
No fixed official price has been established in the sources available. GamesRadar reported that players estimated the boat could take more than $40,000 to obtain through a gacha progression path, while noting that cost depends on luck, location and how much a player grinds. Pupsker separately estimated a range of $40,000 to $72,000, depending on luck. These are attributed estimates—not audited totals, official pricing or evidence of what a typical player spends.
The official Where Winds Meet news index provides current game-version and event context, but does not confirm the Mirage Boat’s cost or acquisition rules. The reported amounts should therefore be treated as estimates rather than a price tag.
How the reported acquisition route works
GamesRadar describes a route involving Mirage Torn Pages and Harmonic Cores. Its account says the progression can involve 170 Mirage Torn Pages and a reported pity threshold of 150 pulls. Those are figures from secondary reporting about the mechanics, not independently verified statistical findings or confirmation of the live rules today. Check the current in-game event or item details before spending based on them.
The total can change depending on whether a player earns some of the required resources through grinding, how many pulls are needed, and the currency pricing available in their region. Without confirmed current drop rates and regional pricing, converting the reported mechanics into a dependable cash calculation would be misleading.
What the Mirage Boat gives you
GamesRadar describes the Mirage Boat as a mount that follows a predetermined route and can carry other players who join or are invited. Its appeal is primarily visual and social: it lets a player display a conspicuous cosmetic and share the ride. The reporting does not establish it as a required gameplay purchase.

The assignment’s “comes with a skin” wording needs qualification. Sources discuss associated cosmetic rewards or outfits along the acquisition path, but do not establish that every player receives a separately selectable skin in every current version. Pupsker’s estimate and description are creator-reported, not an official item guarantee.

- Current availability: Look for the Mirage Boat in the live game client or an official item or event page; the official news index does not verify its current availability.
- Current rules: Confirm the required items, pull limits and any pity mechanic in the game before relying on the figures reported by GamesRadar.
- Your actual regional cost: Prices and currency options can differ by location, and grinding may reduce how much paid currency you need.
- Your spending limit: Decide what the cosmetic and shared ride are worth to you before starting a luck-dependent acquisition path.
GamesRadar also relays the developers’ statement that “your legend is written by skill and choice, never by wallet size,” in the context of the game’s no-pay-to-win position. That statement is quoted through GamesRadar; it does not verify the Mirage Boat’s price or its current acquisition terms.
