What “worth” means for Black Ice
The answer depends on whether you mean its original in-game purchase route, a current Marketplace listing, or its appeal to players. Ubisoft’s available official information confirms the historical R6 Credit offer and the Marketplace’s current closure, but it does not establish a current sale price, a real-money value, or a measured rarity or demand figure.
- Historical purchase route: Ubisoft said Black Ice was sold for R6 Credits during Season One. The announcement does not state a price. Ubisoft’s Operation Black Ice announcement.
- Current player-to-player price: There is no official Marketplace price to check while Ubisoft keeps the service closed. Ubisoft’s June 30, 2026 update.
- Cash equivalent: Buying R6 Credits does not establish a fixed dollar value for an individual Black Ice skin.
- Desirability: Whether a player considers Black Ice desirable is a matter of preference; the cited official sources do not provide a current valuation statistic.
Why the Marketplace cannot provide a current quote
Ubisoft’s June 30, 2026 update says the Marketplace will remain closed while the company works on rebuilding its trading system and addressing security and economy concerns. Its statement—“As we continue rebalancing the economy, Marketplace will remain closed”—is the latest status cited here.
Ubisoft’s Marketplace instructions describe how trading worked: only items identified as tradable appeared for purchase; buyers entered a maximum R6 Credit offer and waited for a matching sale, while sellers set asking prices. Ubisoft also documented a transaction fee of 10% of the sale amount. These are historical platform mechanics, not an available Black Ice trading opportunity or a price estimate. What R6 Credits and Black Ice Packs tell you—and what they do not
R6 Credits are Ubisoft’s relevant premium currency: the company says they can be purchased through the in-game Shop or Ubisoft Store and spent on items including customisations. Ubisoft’s Battle Pass page lists two Black Ice Packs among the rewards for a particular season’s Split Fire Premium Pass. That is season-specific reward information, not a price for an individual skin or evidence of the odds of receiving a particular one. Ubisoft’s Battle Pass page.
