There is no definitive lifetime revenue total for the Assassin’s Creed franchise in the official financial disclosures cited here. A secondary reference page puts franchise revenue at around €4 billion during the decade leading up to 2024, but that is not a verified all-time figure: its accounting scope and underlying primary disclosure are not established.
What is the reported €4 billion figure?
Wikipedia’s Assassin’s Creed reference page reports that the franchise generated around €4 billion during the decade leading up to 2024. Treat this as an attributed secondary estimate, not an audited Ubisoft lifetime-revenue total. The available information does not establish whether it includes only game sales or also subscriptions, in-game purchases, licensing, or other revenue.
What Ubisoft has disclosed about revenue
Ubisoft’s FY2024–25 consolidated IFRS sales were €1,899.2 million for the financial year ended March 31, 2025, according to its consolidated statement extracts. That figure covers Ubisoft as a whole; it is not Assassin’s Creed revenue.
Ubisoft has also provided a relative launch ranking for Assassin’s Creed Shadows, but not a title-level revenue amount in the cited statement. In its May 14, 2025 announcement, Ubisoft said Shadows had the second-highest Day 1 sales revenue in franchise history, behind Valhalla. It also said Shadows set a new Ubisoft Day 1 performance record on the PlayStation digital store. Neither statement gives a euro or dollar total.

What the Shadows comparisons mean—and do not mean
Ubisoft’s FY2024–25 earnings release said Shadows’ performance was “clearly ahead of Assassin’s Creed® Odyssey,” but did not disclose a revenue figure for either game in that comparison. This indicates relative performance, not an amount readers can use to calculate earnings.
Before Shadows launched, Ubisoft said its preorders were tracking in line with Odyssey and described Odyssey at the time as the franchise’s second most successful entry. That was a dated preorder comparison, not a preorder count, revenue disclosure, or final sales result. The company reported it on February 13, 2025, in its third-quarter 2024–25 sales update.

Players, sales and revenue are different measures
Ubisoft reported around 30 million unique active players on console and PC for Assassin’s Creed in FY2024–25, for the fourth consecutive year. The same player figure was reported for Rainbow Six. This is an audience activity measure—not copies sold, paying customers, or revenue—and cannot be converted into a franchise earnings total.
Likewise, a launch revenue ranking shows position but not value. Ubisoft’s statements about Shadows establish that it ranked highly by certain launch measures; they do not fill the gap in a published cumulative revenue figure for the series.

What can be concluded
The most defensible answer is that the franchise has been reported at around €4 billion in revenue over a roughly decade-long period, but a definitive, audited lifetime total is not established by the cited official disclosures. Ubisoft’s company-wide annual sales, player counts and game rankings provide context, but none is a substitute for title-level or franchise-wide revenue accounting.
