Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →For Love and Deepspace Version 6.0, the developer recommended having at least 27 GB of free device storage before installing the update. It also estimated that players might need to download about 3.2–7.9 GB of additional resources, depending on their in-game resource conditions. Those figures describe update preparation—not a guaranteed final size for the installed game.
What the storage numbers mean
| Figure | What it refers to |
|---|---|
| 3.7 GB | The app size currently shown on the US Apple App Store listing. It does not include a definitive total for all downloaded game resources. Apple App Store |
| About 3.2–7.9 GB | Additional resources the developer said Version 6.0 players might need to download, depending on in-game resource conditions. This is not the game’s total size. Version 6.0 update guide |
| At least 27 GB free | The developer’s recommended free space before installing Version 6.0. Version 6.0 update guide |
| At least 33 GB free | The recommendation in the older Version 5.0 update guide; it is historical guidance, not a current universal requirement. Version 5.0 update guide |
The Version 6.0 guide explains that “the recommended free space size may differ from the actual download size” because the game needs room to decompress resources. That is why a download’s listed size and the free space needed to complete an update are not interchangeable.
How much space should you clear?
If you are preparing specifically for Version 6.0, use the developer’s recommendation of at least 27 GB free as a planning figure. When the game displays an insufficient-storage prompt, follow the required and remaining space shown there: the prompt is specific to your device and current update conditions.
The developer warns that repeatedly retrying an update without clearing space can make the displayed requirement inaccurate. Free the amount the prompt asks for before trying again.

What to know before updating
- Allow time for decompression. After downloading, keep the game open in the background while it processes resources. The update guide says closing the game can prolong installation.
- Do not uninstall casually to make room. The developer cautions that removing the old client may lose local data, including photos that have not been uploaded to the cloud.
- Check the guide for your update. The Version 5.0 guide recommended 33 GB free, while Version 6.0 recommended 27 GB. Storage recommendations can change between versions.
Platform and device notes
The US Apple App Store listing reports a 3.7 GB app size and says the iPhone version supports iOS 13.0 or later; iPad support requires iPadOS 13.0 or later. This listing figure should not be treated as the full storage needed after the game downloads its resources.
For Version 6.0, the developer recommended iPhone 12 (A14) or later; an iPad with A14 or M1 or later; or an Android device with at least 6 GB of RAM, Android 7.0 or later, and a Dimensity 9000 or Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 or later. These are device recommendations, not storage calculations.

The official update information describes mobile app-store updates and names MuMuPlayer as its recommended emulator route. The available figures do not establish a separate native PC installation size or a universal current Android package size.

No single final installed footprint is established for every iOS and Android device. The 3.7 GB figure is the current US iOS store listing, the 3.2–7.9 GB range is a Version 6.0 estimate for additional resources, and 27 GB is the developer’s free-space recommendation for preparing that update. For a later version—or if your device reports a different amount—use the current update guide and the game’s own storage prompt rather than assuming one number applies permanently.
