For the current World of Warcraft requirements covering Midnight, plan for 128 GB of available SSD space on Windows or Mac. That is Blizzard’s free-space requirement—not a measured download size or a claim that the installed game files occupy exactly 128 GB.
What does Blizzard’s 128 GB requirement mean?
Blizzard lists 128 GB of available SSD space for World of Warcraft and Midnight on both Windows and Mac. The figure tells you how much free drive space to plan for; Blizzard’s cited pages do not state the exact download size or final installed-file size. Blizzard Support’s Midnight system requirements and the Midnight Battle.net product page list the same requirement.
Does “all expansions” mean adding up separate game installs?
No. Blizzard does not publish individual storage figures for each expansion, and its published requirement does not give a per-expansion breakdown. Do not add together assumed expansion sizes to estimate one total.
World of Warcraft versions are selected and installed separately through Battle.net. Blizzard’s installation instructions explain how to select Modern WoW, WoW Classic Era, or Cataclysm Classic and state, “Each game version must be installed separately.” If you install more than one version, the combined storage use is not specified in that guidance; check the Battle.net installer for the space required for the versions you choose.

Why do some pages say 100 GB?
Blizzard’s general World of Warcraft page surfaces a 100 GB available-space figure alongside older system requirements, while the Midnight-specific support article and product page list 128 GB. The pages do not explain the difference. For the current Midnight-specific requirement, use 128 GB rather than the older general-page figure. Neither number is a measured installed footprint. No exact download or post-install size is stated in the cited official pages. The 128 GB figure is a free-space requirement. Actual download and installed-file sizes are therefore not established by these figures.
