The Founder’s Umbrella is Common by Fortnite’s listed rarity tier, but its original unlock route was limited to Save the World Founders who also earned a Victory Royale. Epic discontinued Founder’s Packs in 2020, and the available sources do not establish how many accounts own the glider. The clearest description is a Common-tier cosmetic with historically restricted access—not a cosmetic with a verified “rarest” owner ranking.
What “rare” means for the Founder’s Umbrella
Fortnite’s item listing classifies the Founder’s Umbrella as Common. That label is the cosmetic’s in-game rarity tier; it does not tell you how many players have it.
Its acquisition history is a separate measure: the documented route required a Save the World Founder’s Pack and a Battle Royale Victory Royale. That makes access historically limited, but it does not prove the umbrella is rarer by ownership than any particular glider.
The umbrella’s listed description is “Founder’s exclusive!” Umbrellas are cosmetic gliders and do not provide a gameplay advantage, according to the Fortnite Wiki umbrella overview.

How players originally unlocked it
The recorded unlock condition was to purchase a Save the World Founder’s Pack and then earn a Victory Royale in Battle Royale. The item listing gives the tier and unlock condition in its Founder’s Umbrella entry.
Can you still get the Founder’s Umbrella?
Not through the original Founder’s Pack route. Epic says the packs were discontinued on June 29, 2020, when Save the World left early access, and its support page says the Founder’s Pack is no longer available: Epic Player Support: Founder’s Pack availability.

Save the World’s later move to free-to-play did not restore the discontinued packs. Epic announced on March 11, 2026, that the game would become free-to-play on April 16, 2026; the announcement also said new purchases would be paused beginning March 11. Free access to Save the World is not the same as Founder status or eligibility for this historical Founder cosmetic. See Epic’s Save the World announcement.

How many players own it?
No verified ownership total or percentage is established by the available sources. The discontinued unlock route supports calling access historically restricted, but it is not enough to calculate an owner count or claim the glider is among Fortnite’s rarest by measured ownership.
For this cosmetic, keep the measures distinct: its displayed tier is Common, its former unlock route required Founder access plus a win, and its current owner population is not verified.
