Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Super Auto Pets is a shop-and-battle game: you build a team during a preparation phase, then your pets fight automatically. Understanding attack order, tier unlocks, leveling, and ability timing helps you make better choices without relying on a supposedly universal “best team.”
How a turn works
Each turn has two phases: prepare in the shop, then watch the battle resolve. The community-maintained Basics reference says players receive 10 gold by default at the start of a round. Pets and food cost gold; you can also roll the shop for different options, freeze items to keep them for a later turn, and rearrange your team. A team can contain up to five pets, although the turn-one limit is three.
Pets have attack, health, and abilities. Attack sets the damage dealt on a hit; health determines how much damage a pet can take before it faints. Once preparation ends, combat is automatic.
How automatic combat resolves
- Applicable start-of-battle effects occur.
- Your rightmost pet attacks the enemy’s leftmost pet. The two attacks resolve simultaneously.
- Fainted pets leave the battle, and the remaining pets move toward the front.
- Combat continues until one or both teams have no pets left. A team with survivors wins; if both teams are eliminated, the result is a draw.
This attack order makes placement matter. A pet’s position determines when it enters the fight, while some abilities depend on neighboring pets, attack order, or a fainting event. Before locking in a lineup, check which pet is in front, which abilities need a particular neighbor, and whether a faint effect can trigger at the point you expect.

When shop tiers unlock
The shop adds access to higher pet tiers on alternating turns. These are unlock points, not a guarantee that a particular pet will appear. Higher tiers broaden the available pool; they do not mean every lower-tier pet disappears.
| Turn | Tier unlocked |
|---|---|
| 1 | Tier 1 |
| 3 | Tier 2 |
| 5 | Tier 3 |
| 7 | Tier 4 |
| 9 | Tier 5 |
| 11 | Tier 6 |
The timings come from the community wiki’s Basics and Pets references. Since pet pools and rules may change, check the live game for advice tied to a particular pack or update.

What pet levels do
Buying duplicates lets you merge pets and gain experience. Leveling strengthens that pet’s ability, so a duplicate can contribute more than its immediate stats. The Basics and Pets references describe a level-up as offering a choice of two pets from the next tier, and note an exception when two level-two pets merge into a level-three pet. Treat exact level-up behavior as subject to change and verify it in the live game before relying on patch-specific advice.
How to judge whether a team has synergy
Synergy is the way two or more pets’ abilities, stats, and positions reinforce a shared plan. A pairing is useful only if its pieces can work together in the actual turn sequence and pack you are playing. The community strategy index lists Kangaroo plus Camel as one example of a named pairing; it illustrates why triggers and positioning matter, not that the combination is always optimal.

- Different Fighting Modes
- Many Cute Pets
- Ultra Graphics
- Timing and tier access: Can you build around the key pets when they become available, and does the plan still function as higher tiers unlock?
- Ability triggers: Do the abilities activate at useful moments, and do their effects support one another?
- Stats and scaling: Are attack and health sufficient for the next battles, and does the team have a way to improve over time?
- Positioning: Does the order let adjacency, front-line, attack-order, or faint effects resolve as intended?
- Food and flexibility: Can food strengthen a key pet, and can you adapt if a needed shop piece does not appear?
Use these as comparison questions rather than a fixed ranking. A combination that looks coherent on paper can fail if its key pet arrives too late, its abilities trigger in the wrong order, or its stats do not hold up.

The game’s mechanics explain how to evaluate a team, but they do not establish one strongest composition across every pack, mode, or balance version. Pet stats, abilities, available packs, and modes can change. Detailed rules cited here come from community-maintained wiki pages rather than an official versioned rules manual, so use the in-game information for the current details of a specific pet or pack.
