Wuthering Waves calls its gacha pulls Convene. Featured Resonator and Featured Weapon banners use different currencies and keep separate guarantee counters: Radiant Tide for Resonators and Forging Tide for weapons. Both featured banner types promise a 4-star-or-higher result at least once every 10 attempts, but their 5-star guarantees work differently.
What is Convene in Wuthering Waves?
Convene is the game’s system for spending Tide items to obtain Resonators or weapons. Banners rotate, so the available featured items depend on the active event. Check the Convene screen and its details before spending to confirm the current lineup and rules.
How featured Resonator and Weapon banners compare

These are separate banner families. Progress on a Featured Resonator banner does not count toward a Featured Weapon guarantee, or vice versa.
What the 10-attempt guarantee means
The 10-attempt rule is a guarantee of at least one 4-star-or-higher item; it is not a promise of a 5-star. Kuro Games states this rule in its Version 3.3 Featured Resonator/Weapon Convene: Phase II notice: “You are guaranteed at least one 4-Star or higher rarity Resonator or Weapon every 10 attempts.” See the official event notice for the active event’s terms.

Featured Resonator Convene
The official event notice says the guarantee count is shared across Featured Resonator Convene events and carries over until a 5-star Resonator is obtained. A 2025 official anniversary notice describes the featured 5-star rule as a 50/50: if the 5-star is not the featured Resonator, the next 5-star is guaranteed to be featured. Because this notice is from 2025, confirm the current banner’s details in-game rather than assuming every term has remained unchanged. Read the official 2025 anniversary notice.
Featured Weapon Convene
The official Version 3.3 Phase II notice says the guarantee count carries across Featured Weapon Convene events until a 5-star weapon is obtained, and that the 5-star weapon will be the named featured weapon. Its notice states: “The 5-Star Weapon you Convene is guaranteed to be Forged Dwarf Star.” This is a different featured-result rule from the Resonator banner.
Is there an 80-pull 5-star ceiling?
A secondary gacha guide reports an 80-Convene ceiling for a 5-star. The official event notices cited here establish the carryover and featured-item rules, but do not independently confirm that ceiling. Treat 80 as the guide’s reported figure, not as a separately verified current official statistic; use the active Convene details for the rules presented in-game. See the Prydwen gacha guide.

A secondary guide also describes standard and beginner Convene options, including their currencies and guarantees. Those details are not corroborated by the official event notices cited here, so check the banner’s in-game information for exact current rules before using a standard or beginner option.
