You can’t join the REMATCH final closed beta now: Sloclap’s official beta page says “Testing is now closed.” The final test ran May 28–31, 2025. Sloclap points players to the full game instead.
Is the REMATCH final beta still open?
No. The final closed beta ended on May 31, 2025, and its sign-up, key, and platform enrollment routes were for that test only. Old instructions or a previously issued key do not reopen access. Sloclap’s beta page now directs players to the full game.

How access worked during the May 2025 beta
Sloclap’s May 22 announcement set the test window at May 28, 2025, at 12 PM GMT through May 31 at 12 PM GMT. It supported PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, but the entry process differed by platform.

Xbox Insider Hub steps used for the test
Xbox Wire’s instructions were specific to the May 2025 playtest and listed Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC for Xbox Insider access:
- Sign in on an Xbox Series X|S console or Windows PC.
- Open or install Xbox Insider Hub.
- Choose Previews > Rematch Beta, then select Join.
- After registration finished, install REMATCH – Closed Beta from the Store.
Xbox Wire described places as limited and first-come, first-served. Completing these steps now cannot enroll you in the concluded beta. See Xbox Wire’s May 28, 2025 instructions for the original process.

How the final beta differed from the earlier Antidote tests
Sloclap described its Antidote tests as technical stress tests: they aimed to bring many players onto the servers and uncover online issues. The official beta was also intended to monitor gameplay dynamics and gather player feedback. That distinction explains the tests’ purpose; it does not change the final beta dates or make the earlier tests a current way to join. Sloclap noted that planned stages and timings could change in its February 2025 beta explanation.

Sloclap’s beta page identifies the full game as the current alternative. Check the official page or your platform’s storefront for current availability and terms. Xbox Wire reported Game Pass availability after launch in July 2025, but catalog inclusion can change; check the current Xbox catalog for your region rather than assuming it is still included. The July 2025 report also attributed to Sloclap creative director Pierre Tarno a figure of 3 million Xbox players within a week of launch; that was a post-launch player figure, not a beta access count.
