How to Add a Payment Method to Your UAE PlayStation Account

To add a payment method to a PlayStation account using the UAE Store, sign in to Account Management, open Payment Method, and choose Add Payment Method. The accepted options listed for the UAE Store are American Express, Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, Du, Etisalat, and Apple Pay. Eligibility depends on your account’s Store country and billing details—not simply on whether prices display in AED.

For a card, enter the card details and billing address, then save. You can also add a card from PS5, PS4, or the PlayStation App. PlayStation’s UAE payment-method list is the relevant one; available methods can differ by Store region.

Which payment methods does the UAE PlayStation Store accept?

PlayStation lists these methods for the UAE Store:

• American Express
• Visa
• Mastercard
• PayPal
• Du mobile billing
• Etisalat mobile billing
• Apple Pay

The list is specific to the UAE Store; it is not a universal list for every PlayStation account region. The UAE payment page allows up to three saved credit or debit cards, one payment service, and one mobile-payment method. See PlayStation’s accepted payment methods for the UAE Store.

1. Sign in to Account Management.
2. Select Payment Method, then Add Payment Method > Add a Credit/Debit Card.
3. Enter your card details and select Next.
4. Enter the billing address associated with the card and save.

On PS5

1. Open Settings > Users and Accounts > Account > Payment and Subscriptions > Payment Methods.
2. Choose the credit/debit card option, enter the card and billing details, and save.

On PS4

1. Open the PlayStation Store.
2. Scroll to the bottom of the sidebar and select Payment Methods.
3. Add the card, enter its billing address, and save.

In the PlayStation App

1. Open the Store and tap the menu icon.
2. Select Payment Methods, then add the card and follow the prompts.

Payment details entered while shopping in the Store are saved to the account.

How to add PayPal or use mobile billing

PayPal

Du or Etisalat

PlayStation lists Du and Etisalat for mobile payment in the UAE. At checkout, choose mobile payment and follow the carrier prompts. The mobile-payment guide also describes adding wallet funds through Payment Management or console wallet settings. See PlayStation’s mobile-payment instructions.

• Confirm the account uses the UAE PlayStation Store. A card registered to an address in a different country from the Store region may not link.
• Make sure online payments are enabled for the card.
• Check that the account and billing information match the details held by the card issuer.
• If PlayStation says payment details have been updated too often, wait 24 hours before trying again. Another attempt during that period restarts the block.

If the issuer confirms the card details are correct and it still will not link, use another accepted payment option or contact PlayStation Support.

Can a child account add a payment method?

No. Child accounts cannot add payment methods or add wallet funds themselves. A child can spend from the family manager’s wallet, subject to the monthly spending limit the family manager sets for that child account.

Can you use a PlayStation gift card instead?

Yes. PlayStation says a UAE wallet can be topped up using a registered payment method or PlayStation gift cards. If you use a prepaid code, check that it is for the country and currency designated for the account; Sony’s March 2026 Terms of Service and User Agreement says wallet prepaid cards must use the account country’s currency. A UAE code is therefore the region-checked fallback for a UAE account.
