To add someone in Free Fire, open the Friends menu, choose Add, search for the player, check the matching profile, and send a friend request. They appear in your friends list after accepting it. You can also accept incoming requests or use friend suggestions shown in the menu.
Send a friend request by player name
- Open Friends: From the lobby, select the Friends icon or menu. Its position and wording can vary by game version and localization.
- Choose Add: Enter the player’s in-game name in the search field. Garena’s help guide documents manual search by name. A current secondary walkthrough also says you can search by numeric UID; treat that as an alternate method rather than a feature confirmed by Garena’s guide. - Check the result: Compare the profile details with what you know about the player so you do not request the wrong account.
- Send the request: Select the correct result and send the friend request. The player must accept it before they appear in your friends list, according to the secondary walkthrough.
Accept a request you received
Open Friends and select Request to view incoming friend requests. Choose the request you want to accept. Garena lists received requests as one of the friend-management routes in its guide.

Other ways to find friends
- Platform Friends: Check the platform-based friend suggestions shown in the Friends menu.
- Social-network friends: The menu may show friends associated with other social networks. Which integrations appear can depend on the client and region; do not assume every platform is available.

If you cannot add someone
- Check the spelling of the in-game name, or verify that the UID was copied correctly if you are using UID search.
- Review the returned profile before sending a request to make sure it is the right player.
- Check whether a request is already pending. A full friend list or a block on either account may also prevent adding someone, according to the secondary walkthrough; these are possible causes, not an official exhaustive diagnosis.
Garena’s reviewed guide does not state a numeric friend-list limit or confirm that players on different regional services can always add one another. If an account issue persists beyond the routine friend-request steps, use Garena Free Fire Support. Keep the process inside the official game and never share your password, one-time codes, or social-login credentials.
