To unlock co-op in Stardew Valley on a supported Android or iOS device, tap the leaf groups on the title-screen logo in the sequence Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, then tap the “?” button. Close the help menu and the co-op button should appear. The feature is experimental; it is not available in Apple Arcade’s Stardew Valley+ edition.
Unlock the co-op button
- Open Stardew Valley and stay on the title screen.
- Tap the four groups of leaves attached to the logo in this order: Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right.
- Tap the “?” button at the bottom right of the screen.
- Close the help menu. The co-op button should now be visible on the title screen.
The official Stardew Valley Experimental Mobile Multiplayer Guide describes this as an in-game sequence; it does not call for a separate beta signup.

Host a farm or join one
In the co-op menu, choose whether to host or join. A host must first set up a farm, and that farm needs available cabins for other players. To join, enter the host device’s IP address. Mobile farm discovery is unavailable, so players connect using the address rather than browsing a list of farms.

Find the host’s IP address
- iOS: Open Settings → Wi-Fi, tap the information button beside the connected network, and look for IP Address.
- Android: Open Settings → Network & internet → Internet, tap the gear beside the connected Wi-Fi network, and look for IP address.
Exact menu labels can vary by operating-system version. The guide also says a mobile device can join a PC-hosted farm by IP address.

Check compatibility and protect your save
- Use matching game versions. The guide says players on different versions will not connect. You can check the version at the bottom left of the “?” menu.
- Back up important saves first. The feature is experimental and may have bugs or other issues; do not experiment with a valuable save unless it is backed up.
- Allow local-network access on iOS. When prompted, permit Stardew Valley to find and connect to devices on your local network. The guide notes that the first connection attempt may fail after permission is granted; try again.
- Check the edition. Apple Arcade’s Stardew Valley+ does not support this multiplayer feature, according to the official guide.
