To animate a camera in Mine-imator, create a starting camera keyframe, move the playhead to a later time, reposition the camera, and play the animation to review the move. Use the editor’s work camera to navigate the scene and the active camera to judge the shot viewers will see. For simple moves, two poses are enough; use a path when the camera needs to follow a defined route, or an Instant transition for a hard cut.
Understand the work camera and active camera
The work camera is the editor view you navigate freely while building a scene. The active camera is the view used for the animation. A 2016 community forum explanation describes the work view as the large screen and the active-camera view as a smaller preview; the layout may differ in current versions, but the distinction is useful: compose and inspect in the work view, then check the active camera to see what the audience will see. Make a basic camera move with two keyframes
1. Add a camera and set the starting pose
Open the area of Mine-imator where objects and timelines are managed, add or select a camera, and locate its camera timeline. A 2016 community walkthrough describes opening the Workbench from the crafting-table control and choosing a camera, but those historic icon locations should not be assumed to match every installed version. Set the playhead at the beginning of the move and create the first camera keyframe with the camera framed as you want the shot to start.
2. Set the destination pose
Move the playhead to a later time, then reposition the camera to establish the ending composition. The second keyframe records that pose; playback interpolates the camera’s movement between the two poses. The tutorial walkthrough describes navigating with right mouse button plus drag to look around, WASD for horizontal movement, E and Q for vertical movement, Space to move faster, and Shift to move more slowly. 3. Play back and refine
Play the animation and watch the active-camera view, not only the work view. Check that the subject stays in frame and that the camera arrives at the intended composition. If the move drifts off target, adjust one or both camera poses and preview again.
Control the move’s duration and transition
The spacing between the first and second keyframes determines how much time the move takes: placing the destination keyframe farther along the timeline lengthens the interval, while bringing it closer shortens it. That changes the duration of the move; it does not change the destination composition.

For a hard cut instead of continuous movement, the 2016 community instructions identify an Instant transition in the keyframe controls. Because that guidance is old, look for the transition setting in your installed version rather than relying on an exact menu location. Source: Mine-imator Forums.
Choose between direct keyframes and a path

Review framing and optional camera effects
After the route and timing work, review the active-camera image throughout the move. Look for moments when the subject is clipped, obscured, or lost against the background; change the framing or route if needed. A camera wiki page describes adjusting camera properties through keyframes and mentions post-processing effects. A 2018 tutorial description also advertises depth of field and rotating around a point, but does not establish current detailed controls.
