To challenge a 183-day Roblox ban, appeal through the route shown in your moderation notice. Use Violations & Appeals if the notice directs you there; otherwise, submit a Roblox Support Form. Explain briefly and truthfully why the specific moderation action should be reviewed. Roblox does not guarantee an appeal will remove or reduce the consequence.
What a 183-day ban does—and doesn’t—tell you
The duration alone does not identify the violation, establish that Roblox made a mistake, or predict the appeal outcome. Roblox says enforcement methods and durations vary with the violation and may take account of past behavior. The moderation notice is the starting point for understanding the action in your case.
Roblox Support states: “Submitting an appeal does not guarantee the consequence will be removed.” Its Appeals team may make necessary adjustments after reviewing an action, but there is no guaranteed route or trick to shorten the period.
How to appeal the moderation action
- Read the moderation notice. Note the stated reason, the action date, and any appeal link or instructions. Identify whether the action affects your account or specific content.
- Use the route in the notice. If it offers Violations & Appeals, select the appeal option there. Roblox says to use its Support Form if the violation is not listed in Violations & Appeals.
- Submit as the account owner. Include the account username and use a valid contact email associated with the account.
- Explain the case specifically. Tie your explanation to the notice: identify what you believe was mistaken or what relevant context was overlooked, and give concise, truthful supporting facts.
- Submit one substantive appeal for that action. Roblox says a reviewed action cannot be reviewed again and duplicate appeals are not reviewed.
Meet the appeal deadline
Roblox’s general policy sets a deadline of 30 days from the moderation action. EU users have six months to appeal an initial moderation action under Roblox’s stated additional rights. Other regional rights may also apply. Check the notice and act promptly rather than assuming a longer period applies to your account.

Keep the appeal focused and honest
A useful appeal is brief and connected to the reason Roblox gave. For example, identify your username and the action, explain the specific point you believe deserves review, and provide relevant facts. Do not invent an excuse, claim conduct that did not happen, or send repeated empty requests; duplicates do not provide another review.
If the problem involves an unauthorized charge
Billing issues have separate guidance and should not be assumed to explain a ban unless the moderation notice says they do. For eligible credit or debit card, PayPal, or Google Play charges, Roblox says to contact its support before disputing the charge with the payment provider. Once a dispute is underway, the provider’s process can prevent a direct or immediate Roblox refund. See Roblox’s unauthorized-charge guidance.

What to expect after submitting
Roblox says its review considers factors including the severity of the violation, the reason for appealing, and behavior on the platform. The published guidance does not establish a standardized rule for 183-day bans, an appeal success rate, or a guaranteed early release. The notice, your account history, region, and any prior review determine what applies to your case.
