Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →You can automate a Hindi video playlist for YouTube Live by listing compatible files in an FFmpeg concat playlist, sending that playlist to the server URL and stream key from YouTube Studio, and monitoring the Live Control Room preview. For a continuous stream, test the repeat behavior with your exact FFmpeg build and files before leaving it unattended: concat support does not guarantee seamless looping for every playlist.
Before you start
You need FFmpeg installed on a computer or server that can stay powered, access to YouTube Live, a stable internet connection with enough sustained upload capacity, and Hindi video files you are authorized to broadcast. The spoken language does not change the ingest setup; file compatibility and YouTube’s live-stream controls do.
- Enable YouTube Live. If this is your first broadcast, YouTube says enabling live streaming may take up to 24 hours. See Create a YouTube live stream with an encoder.
- Check rights and channel policy. Confirm you own or have permission to broadcast each video and its audio. Reused or repetitive material can affect a channel’s monetization assessment even when the stream works technically. Review YouTube’s encoder setup guidance and current channel monetization policies. This is not a legal determination about copyright or fair use.
- Inspect every file. Record its duration, container, video and audio codecs, dimensions, frame rate, and audio properties. Files that differ may not be safe to combine with stream copy; normalize or transcode them if the test shows incompatibility.
- Decide whether the playlist is finite or continuous. A finite playlist plays once. A continuous playlist needs a repeat strategy validated against your installed FFmpeg version and actual files.
Build an FFmpeg concat playlist
FFmpeg’s concat demuxer reads a text playlist in ffconcat format and sequences the referenced media. Create a plain-text file named playlist.ffconcat in the directory where you will run FFmpeg:
ffconcat version 1.0
file 'video-01.mp4'
file 'video-02.mp4'
file 'video-03.mp4'
Replace those example names with your actual filenames and order. Paths must resolve from the environment running FFmpeg. For paths containing special characters or quotes, follow the escaping rules in the FFmpeg concat demuxer documentation. Keep the playlist file and media files in a stable location so a working process does not lose access to them.

Check media compatibility before streaming
Stream copy avoids re-encoding, but it is appropriate only when the files have compatible stream properties and the resulting output is accepted by YouTube. Mixed resolutions, frame rates, codecs, or audio layouts can produce errors, gaps, or unusable output. Do not assume arbitrary Hindi videos can be concatenated seamlessly. Test the complete sequence and, where necessary, prepare a consistent set of files before broadcast.
Create the YouTube Live event and get its ingest details
- Open YouTube Studio and select Create → Go Live.
- Create a stream or schedule one in Live Control Room. If live streaming has not previously been enabled for the channel, allow up to 24 hours for activation.
- Copy the exact server URL and stream key shown for that stream. Treat the key like a password: do not commit it to a code repository, expose it in screenshots, or include it in public scripts.
- Prefer the RTMPS endpoint when the endpoint and your FFmpeg build support it. Google documents RTMPS as RTMP tunneled through SSL/TLS; its ingest guidance specifies the endpoint, application path, port 443, and SNI hostname authentication. Use the exact URL YouTube provides rather than constructing one yourself. See Delivering Live YouTube Content via RTMPS.
Send the playlist to YouTube with FFmpeg
For a finite playlist whose files are compatible for stream copy, this is a starting command. Replace the endpoint and key placeholders with the values issued in Live Control Room; do not publish a real key:

ffmpeg -re -f concat -safe 0 -i playlist.ffconcat -c copy -f flv "RTMPS_SERVER_URL/STREAM_KEY"
-re reads the inputs at their native rate rather than as fast as possible; -f concat selects the concat demuxer; -safe 0 permits paths beyond the demuxer’s restricted safe-path form, so use it only with a playlist you control; -c copy passes compatible encoded streams through without re-encoding; and -f flv selects the common live-ingest output format. The output URL must match the RTMPS server URL and key format supplied by YouTube. FFmpeg option support depends on its build. Do not put a real key in shell history, shared logs, or a script repository; use a protected secret mechanism appropriate to your operating system if you automate the command.
This command is not a universal recipe for mixed media or indefinite playback. If the files are not compatible for stream copy, prepare consistent files or choose encoding settings suitable for the source and YouTube’s current ingest requirements. The official sources cited here do not establish a single recommended bitrate for every resolution and frame rate, so do not treat a guessed value as a universal setting. Check the current requirements shown by YouTube for your chosen stream configuration.

Make the playlist repeat only after testing
A finite concat input reaches its end and stops. For a continuous channel, validate the looping method supported by your installed FFmpeg version and build with a short test stream before relying on it. Loop options and boundary behavior vary with the setup, and concat support alone does not promise a seamless repeat, live playlist updates, or compatibility across different file properties.
- Run a short test with the exact playlist and output configuration you intend to use.
- Watch the transition from the last item back to the first in YouTube’s preview; inspect both video and audio for gaps, errors, or a stalled output.
- Test again after changing the playlist, files, FFmpeg build, or loop configuration.
- Only then configure your chosen repeat approach for unattended operation. Keep process supervision, alerting, disk availability, and network monitoring separate from the media-playback command.
There is no claim here that one loop command works across all FFmpeg builds and media combinations. Consult the installed version’s help and the official concat documentation, then verify the actual result rather than relying on a third-party snippet.

Confirm the stream in Live Control Room
- Start FFmpeg and watch its output for connection or input errors.
- In YouTube Live Control Room, confirm that the incoming stream is detected and that the preview appears.
- For a scheduled stream, click Go live in Live Control Room after the preview is visible. Starting FFmpeg alone does not complete that scheduled-stream step.
- Monitor the preview, stream health, FFmpeg process, network connection, and available storage while the playlist runs.
- When finished, stop FFmpeg and end the stream intentionally in YouTube Studio.
YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. That stated rule does not establish automatic archiving for broadcasts lasting 12 hours or more.

Troubleshooting common failures
- YouTube does not receive a stream: Confirm the event is live-enabled, that you copied the correct server URL and key, and that FFmpeg is using the exact RTMPS endpoint provided. Check that the build supports the required TLS/SNI connection and that port 443 is reachable.
- The preview appears but the scheduled broadcast is not live: Return to Live Control Room and use the scheduled event’s Go live action after the preview appears.
- FFmpeg stops at the final file: That is expected for a finite playlist. Set up and test a version-appropriate repeat strategy; concat does not by itself imply endless looping.
- A transition fails or playback has gaps: Compare the adjacent files’ codecs, dimensions, frame rates, and audio properties. Stream copy may not work for mismatched inputs; make the media consistent and retest the full sequence.
- FFmpeg cannot find a playlist item: Check the working directory, filename spelling, path resolution, and escaping in the ffconcat file. Ensure the process can read every file.
- The process exits during unattended operation: Inspect FFmpeg output, disk and network availability, and the host’s process supervision and alerting. A restart policy can help recover a process, but it does not guarantee uninterrupted streaming.
- A stream works but monetization is uncertain: Technical delivery does not establish monetization eligibility. YouTube assesses reused and repetitive content at the channel level; review its current policy and make sure the channel’s content meets applicable requirements.
