The detailed tactics here are for Everdark Sovereign Equilibrious Beast, not a complete guide to the standard Libra encounter. In the Everdark fight, prepare for a second phase around 80% of Libra’s health, manage Madness, and quickly defeat any Condemned invaders before the fight becomes crowded.

Standard Libra or Everdark Libra?

Libra, Creature of Night, is the Equilibrious Beast. The guidance below focuses on the Everdark Sovereign version because that is the encounter for which the available walkthrough describes a modifier-driven phase. Do not assume every modifier or phase detail applies to the standard encounter.

How the Everdark Libra fight changes phase

According to Sean Martin’s August 14, 2025 PC Gamer guide to beating Everdark Libra, Libra offers deals when players enter the arena. The fight then proceeds until roughly 80% health, when Libra meditates, charges, and triggers an explosion. After this transition, the encounter becomes modifier-driven.

Treat the 80% mark as an approximation, not a guaranteed threshold. The guide’s description is an observed walkthrough, not an official specification of exact phase timing.

What does Libra’s Condemned modifier do?

One reported modifier, “A demon summons the Condemned,” brings in three Nightfarer invaders that mirror the party composition. They have their own set weapons. If the first three remain alive, Libra may summon another group, bringing the total to six, according to PC Gamer’s guide.

  1. Stop focusing damage on Libra and clear the first invaders. Leaving them alive risks adding a second group to an already busy fight.
  2. Watch the arena while dealing with them. Libra remains part of the encounter, so avoid being caught by its attacks while the team splits attention.
  3. Return to Libra once the invaders are down. The guide says their defeat may trigger Libra’s frenzy state, but describes this as an apparent interaction rather than a guaranteed mechanic.

The guide describes this particular modifier; it does not establish a complete list of Everdark Libra modifiers or what each one does.

What is Libra weak to?

No verified damage multipliers or exact weakness values are established here. PC Gamer recommends holy or fire damage as useful alternatives, particularly if a madness-focused weapon is unavailable. Treat those as tactical suggestions, not proof that either damage type is universally best.

The same guide favors quick melee options, naming Executor and Duchess, because their mobility can help players avoid Libra’s ground area attacks. This is a recommendation rather than a tested ranking of Nightfarers. Choose a character and weapon you can use reliably while keeping room to dodge.

Manage Madness during the fight

Madness is a significant source of pressure in the Everdark encounter. PC Gamer recommends using available Madness resistance, including Clarifying Boluses and resistance talismans, and collecting the orbs Libra drops to reduce Madness buildup. The guide also recommends using Madness to induce Libra’s frenzy state; no exact status thresholds or guaranteed timing are established.

  • Pick up Libra’s dropped orbs when it is safe to do so.
  • Use Madness resistance items or talismans available to your build.
  • Keep moving rather than staying close through ground area attacks.
  • If you are using Madness offensively, treat the result as a tactical possibility, not a guaranteed phase trigger.

What if Libra behaves strangely?

Bandai Namco has documented several historical Libra-related bugs. Its June 10, 2025 Version 1.01.2 patch notes say a bug could cause Libra to repeat some actions. The Version 1.02.2 notes list a fix for Everdark Libra moving below ground under certain conditions and for False Blessing causing levels to decrease without flask healing. The Version 1.02.3 notes list a fix for a rendering issue that could prevent summoned sinners from appearing.

These are documented past fixes, not intended mechanics. Update the game if you encounter them. Bandai Namco’s official Nightreign site includes later 1.03.x news, but the sources cited here do not establish whether later updates changed Libra’s health, damage, resistances, or encounter mechanics.
