The Keeper of Flaming Mountains is only the first half of this Chapter 5 boss encounter: Yin-Yang Fish follows with a separate full health bar. Clear the Keeper’s summoned enemies so it returns within reach, then save healing for the fish’s difficult-to-avoid overhead egg attack.
Where to find the Keeper of Flaming Mountains
The story-related encounter is in Chapter 5, at Furnace Valley’s Emerald Hall. PowerPyx places the boss directly after the Emerald Hall shrine. Its guide presents the fight as “Keeper of Flaming Mountains & Yin-Yang Fish.” PowerPyx’s Black Myth: Wukong boss guide provides the location and encounter sequence.
How to handle the Keeper’s phase
Clear the summoned enemies
During the first phase, the Keeper flies up and summons other enemies. Deal with those enemies rather than trying to reach the Keeper while it is out of reach.
Attack when the Keeper returns
After the summoned enemies are defeated, the Keeper returns within reach. Use that opening to attack. PowerPyx says a black horse is summoned near the end of this phase, but its guide does not establish exact timing or a specific response to that event.

Save healing for Yin-Yang Fish
Defeating the Keeper does not finish the encounter. Yin-Yang Fish follows with its own full health bar, so avoid spending all your healing during the first phase.
PowerPyx describes the fish’s overhead egg attack as hard to avoid and recommends healing as needed if you take damage from it. The guide also recommends quick attacks, Spirit attacks, and the Weaver’s Needle vessel against the fish. These are that guide’s recommendations, not independently tested tactics.
