Shikai progression then centers on meditation and a fight against your Zanpakuto—but community guides disagree about the meditation level required. Use the live quest and meditation prompts in-game as the final authority.
Start the Soul Reaper quest
- Find Kisuke and speak to him to receive the Soul Reaper quest. The community guide describes its objective as defeating a Hollow.
- Track the active quest and follow its marker and current objective text. Available guides do not establish reliable coordinates, the Hollow variant, or the exact current dialogue, so use what the game displays rather than relying on a fixed route. Soul Reaper community guide
Learn the default PC controls
The Roblox experience listing publishes these default PC bindings. It also says controls can be changed; platform controls and custom keybinds may therefore differ. Project Mugetsu on Roblox

| Action | Default key or input |
|---|---|
| Backpack | L |
| Air Walk | T |
| Dash | Q |
| Reiatsu | R |
| Menu | M |
| Meditate | K |
| Left Combo | Mouse button 1 (M1) |
| Run | Left Shift |
| Mouse Lock | Left Control |
The listing says health and Reiatsu are tied to player level, while the ignition bar is tied to spiritual standing or meditation progression. Those relationships help explain why both character progression and meditation matter as you work toward Shikai.

Build progression and reach the Zanpakuto fight
Community guides describe meditation followed by a fight against your Zanpakuto as the route to Shikai, but their stated meditation requirements conflict:

| Requirement or milestone | What community guides report | How to use the information |
|---|---|---|
| Meditation before the Shikai fight | Two guides report meditation level 20; another reports level 15. Ability guide; Meditation guide; Soul Reaper guide | Not settled by the guides. Meditate and follow the current in-game prompt. |
| Player level before the Shikai fight | The Ability guide reports player level 15 or higher. Ability guide | Community-reported requirement; check the game for the current rule. |
| Soul Reaper mastery for Senkaimon | The Ability guide reports mastery level 5. Ability guide | This is a reported Senkaimon access requirement, not a confirmed Shikai threshold. |
Once the game indicates that you are eligible, follow its directions to enter the Zanpakuto fight. The sources describe meditation and the fight as the progression route but do not establish a separate, reliable set of current access instructions beyond those requirements.
Activate Shikai
- Equip your Zanpakuto.
- Enter the appropriate call name followed by your Shikai name in chat. The Roblox listing provides examples of call names, including “Sing,” and Shikai names; use the name and call that match your ability. Project Mugetsu on Roblox
- Watch your ignition bar: the Ability guide says activating Shikai consumes it. The Roblox listing associates the bar with spiritual standing or meditation progression. Ability guide
Work toward Bankai
Community guides report meditation level 75 for Bankai; one says Urahara clan players can reach it at level 50. These are guide-reported thresholds, not confirmed current rules. Check the meditation prompt in-game for your character’s requirement. Meditation guide; Soul Reaper guide
