You can bind both directions, keep Space as a jump key, or restore weapon cycling on whichever direction you do not want to use for jumping.
Enable the developer console and enter a jump bind

Open CS2’s settings and enable the developer console if it is not already enabled.

Open the console in-game using its assigned key.

Enter one of these commands and press Enter:
bind mwheeldown +jump— jump when scrolling down.bind mwheelup +jump— jump when scrolling up.
The bind takes effect for the selected wheel direction. BO5.gg’s August 30, 2026 guide documents both commands and the available combinations (BO5.gg); Total CS also lists the scroll-down input token and a CS2 scroll-jump bind (Total CS).
Choose how you want the wheel and Space to work

These are independent inputs: binding the wheel does not require removing Space as a jump key. The Nerd Stash also documents the wheel bind and Space option (The Nerd Stash).

Restore weapon cycling if you want it on the wheel
A wheel direction assigned to +jump no longer performs its conventional weapon-cycle action. To restore cycling, bind the desired direction back to its inventory command:
bind mwheeldown invnextrestores next-weapon cycling on scroll down.bind mwheelup invprevrestores previous-weapon cycling on scroll up.
You can keep one direction for jumping and the other for weapon cycling. For example, jump on down with bind mwheeldown +jump and restore up with bind mwheelup invprev. Choose the combination that matches your preference rather than assuming one direction is better.

What the bind does—and what it does not guarantee
The command assigns the wheel input to the jump action; it does not guarantee a successful bunny hop or a particular improvement in movement. In its August 1, 2025 update, Valve wrote: “Bhopping jump spam clock now starts at the instant the input is registered, rather than then end of the subtick where that command was processed.” That note describes input timing, not a guaranteed result from using a scroll-wheel bind (Valve’s Counter-Strike 2 update).
This is an in-game input configuration using your existing mouse. You do not need a replacement mouse, wheel part, accessory, or paid utility to set it up.
