To board Gigantrite, climb to the top of the tower at Starlight Observatory Ruins, wait for the whale to pass within reach, then jump and activate a Glide Morph to steer onto its back. Check the in-game Event Calendar for its next expected appearance; reported timing intervals are not a guaranteed schedule.
How to get onto Gigantrite
- Check the Event Calendar. Open the in-game Event Calendar and look for Gigantrite’s next expected appearance.
- Go to Starlight Observatory Ruins. Climb to the top of the tall tower, a commonly recommended launch point.
- Wait for the whale to approach. Watch its position and jump when it is close enough to reach.
- Use a Glide Morph. Activate it after jumping and steer toward Gigantrite’s back. Adjust your direction as you glide so you land on the whale rather than passing it.
When to go, and how long to wait
Use the Event Calendar’s current listing for your server rather than relying on a fixed interval. One guide reports that Gigantrite appears about every three hours, but labels that interval unconfirmed. Another says the whale may take an additional 10–15 minutes to reach the ruins after its timetable time. Those are guide-reported estimates, not a universal guarantee, so allow time for it to approach.

Other places to try
Possible boarding points depend on Gigantrite’s route. A route guide also lists Purelight Tower, The Raging Wilds, and a hill near the Temple of Sylaveth. The top of the Starlight Observatory Ruins tower is the clearest general recommendation: choose a launch point based on where the whale is approaching and whether you can get high enough to glide onto its back.
