In Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 4, complete “Boneless spine transfer between the courts” in the College level: launch from a gray ramp between the basketball and tennis courts with a boneless, then trigger a spine transfer while airborne and land on the opposite court. The task-specific walkthrough lists R2 on PlayStation and RT on Xbox; GameCube’s manual describes a different input.
Where to go in College
- Start in College and head down the stairs.
- Turn left toward the basketball and tennis courts.
- Find one of the gray ramps separating the courts and build enough speed to cross it.
The objective is between the courts, not at a separate campus spine-transfer spot. A College walkthrough documents the court area and spine-transfer terrain, while a separate walkthrough locates activities between the tennis and basketball courts: Tony Hawk Guide’s College walkthrough and GameFAQs’ PlayStation 2 walkthrough.
How to perform the boneless spine transfer
- Approach a gray ramp between the courts with enough speed to make the crossing.
- As you launch, perform a boneless.
- While airborne, trigger the spine transfer using the input for your platform.
- Land on the opposite court without bailing.
The maneuver combines the boneless launch and the transfer in one crossing. The task-specific directions are documented in Arcader News’ courts-objective guide; the source recommends a smooth combination and notes that it may take practice.

The GameCube manual specifies its inputs for that release; the task guide’s PlayStation and Xbox transfer buttons do not establish every platform’s layout. If your controls are remapped, check the in-game control settings. Exact boneless inputs for PlayStation and Xbox are not stated in the cited task walkthrough.

If the goal does not register
- You fall short: Build more speed before approaching the ramp; the directions give no numeric speed target.
- The boneless or transfer does not trigger: Check the control mapping for your platform and press the transfer input as you launch or while you are airborne, as appropriate to that platform’s instructions.
- You bail or miss the opposite court: Try a smoother, straighter crossing and adjust your approach. The guide provides no exact timing window.
