How to brew Saviour Schnapps
- Pour wine into the cauldron.
- Add one nettle and boil for two turns.
- Grind two belladonna, add it to the cauldron, and boil for one turn.
- Pour the finished mixture into a phial. Do not distil it.
A turn is one hourglass cycle in the general alchemy procedure. Use the bellows only when the recipe calls for them; the ordinary Saviour Schnapps sequence above does not require a bellows step. If you are unsure which skill level or perks your character has, follow the stated order and timing rather than relying on shortcuts.
Recipe access and where to brew
Gameranx reports that Henry receives the recipe during the prologue at Bozhena’s hut. You can still try brewing without first learning a recipe: according to PowerPyx, the first successful batch unlocks its recipe entry. After the prologue, Gameranx identifies an alchemy bench at the Troskowitz alchemy shop compound. Recipe access and bench availability are described in the cited guides; exact details may depend on the game version.

How Alchemy skill affects the result
Use the standard two-turn nettle and one-turn belladonna sequence as the reliable baseline. Higher Alchemy skill and perks can allow mistakes without reducing quality, but that tolerance is character-dependent. A shortcut that works for a developed character may produce a weaker potion for a lower-level alchemist.
The KCD II Alchemy Calculator lists a Strong-quality method involving bellows and cauldron manipulation, and says characters with Alchemy 22 or higher can skip the hourglass without quality loss. Treat these as skill-dependent options, not replacements for the basic sequence when your character’s skill or perks are unknown.
