There is no verified, current best build for every Wartune Ultra class in the available official material. Use Knight, Mage, and Archer role descriptions as starting points, then check your live skill and equipment screens before spending upgrade materials. Older guides can help explain stat choices, but their values and item routes are not confirmed for current Ultra.
Start with your class role, not a copied stat table
Legacy class references describe Knight as a durable physical class, Mage as a magical attacker with area damage and healing, and Archer as a physical attacker oriented toward single-target damage. These descriptions are useful for choosing what to compare, not proof of current Ultra balance. The same legacy pages list level-up stat gains, but those values should not be applied to Ultra without confirmation in the game.
For each class, compare the actual current skill descriptions and equipment attributes available to your character. Check the mode as well: PvE, PvP, and dungeon-specific rules can change the value of a setup. The official Wartune Ultra notices show that systems evolve between versions, and the V4.0 notice says dungeon battles replace a Lord’s original character skills with dungeon default skills. A character build may therefore not describe what happens in every mode.
Knight: build around physical pressure and staying power
The legacy class reference portrays Knight as a physical attacker with stronger physical than magical defense, intended to endure attacks and reduce enemy effectiveness. Its listed level-up gains—+2 Strength, +1 Armor, +2 Endurance, and +10 Charisma—are historical figures, not verified current Ultra values.

As a starting framework, inspect how your current Knight skills contribute physical damage, mitigation, defense, or control. Compare the survival gained from defensive options against the damage you give up; the best balance depends on the encounter and the live skill and gear systems. No current optimal Knight stat distribution or rotation is established by the available official notices.
Mage: weigh magical damage against support
The legacy description presents Mage as a magical attacker that excels at multiple-target damage and has healing spells. Its historical level-up gains are +3 Intellect, +1 Armor, +1 Endurance, and +10 Charisma; they are not confirmed for current Ultra.

In the live game, compare magical damage with the practical value of healing or other support skills for the content you play. An old refinement guide recommends Magical Attack (MATK) and Intelligence for Mages, rather than physical attack, Strength, or Power. Treat that as a legacy direction only: confirm that Ultra still uses those attributes and that they scale the skills you intend to use.
Archer: choose between focused damage and broader coverage
The legacy class reference describes Archer as a physical attacker with strength in single-target damage. It lists historical level-up gains of +3 Strength, +1 Armor, +1 Endurance, and +10 Charisma, which should not be assumed to match Ultra today.

7Road’s 2021 Archer skill reference lists selectable abilities spanning single-target attacks, multi-target attacks, debuffs, and support effects. For example, it gives Aimed Shot a 162%–234% physical-damage range and a 20% chance to raise critical damage by 20% for two turns. Those are figures from a post-Knighthood Wartune reference, not confirmed current Ultra coefficients. Check the in-game description before using them to compare skills.
Use your live skill choices to decide whether a particular fight rewards concentrated damage, attacks that reach multiple targets, or utility. The 2021 reference does not establish the strongest current Ultra skill bar, rotation, or coefficient.

How to compare stats and refinement options
A 2014 Equipment Refinement Guide by COSMOS, written for Wartune Hall of Heroes and described by its author as broadly similar to the web version, offers historical principles rather than tested Ultra recommendations:
- Match attributes to the damage type. The guide points Mage toward MATK and Intelligence, and Knight and Archer toward physical attack and related Strength or Power. Verify current Ultra terminology and scaling.
- Choose a critical-hit direction deliberately. It treats Crit and Will Destroyer as distinct build choices: Crit builds seek Crit, while Will Destroyer builds should not spend an attribute slot on Crit. Confirm that both options and their effects still exist in the mode you play.
- Balance offense and durability. The guide puts offense first, broad Defense or Armor next, and Endurance or health after that. It says Endurance usually grants more health than a low HP roll. These are the author’s priorities, not an established Ultra formula.
- Consider the class and build together. The guide suggests Block for a Will Destroyer Knight and Crit for a Crit build. Do not assume those choices remain optimal under Ultra’s current mechanics.
- Improve several pieces before perfecting one. The guide advises spreading early refinement effort across all eight equipped items before perfecting a single piece. Ultra’s current slot count and refinement system need in-game verification.
The guide’s concise principle is: “It is a lot better to get the right attribute at a lower level than the wrong attribute at a higher level.” That advice is useful only after confirming that the attribute is relevant to your current class, skills, and mode. The guide also notes that ideal high-level refinements can be difficult without spending Balens; this does not make paid progression necessary for choosing a sensible build.

Gear systems change, so verify the route and item first
A legacy equipment wiki describes eight gear pieces and historical acquisition through the Blacksmith, Arena Shop, and Crypt Shop. It says blacksmith synthesis occurred every ten levels starting at level 20; arena-shop sets every ten levels starting at level 35, subject to honor and insignia; and crypt items required tokens and floor progress. These routes and slot details are not confirmed for current Wartune Ultra, so check the live menus rather than farming based on the old guide.
Official Ultra notices also document newer equipment systems. The V3.7 notice, announced January 19, 2026, describes Sylph Equipment upgrades from fully enhanced level-80 SSS rank to EX rank, a maximum equipment level of 90, and a selectable affix that boosts reforged attributes. The V3.8 notice, announced April 6, 2026, introduces Mighty Weapon forging: Normal Forge uses Mithril and Advanced Forge uses Adamantite. The V4.0 announcement was published June 20, 2026; its indexed summary notes the dungeon skill override described above. These dated notices show that equipment and mode rules can change, but do not provide a best-in-slot recommendation for each class. They do not establish which version is live on October 7, 2026. The V3.7 notice itself says, “Please refer to the in-game version for the final release.”
A practical checklist before committing materials
- Open the current skill and equipment screens. Confirm the exact attribute names, skill effects, available gear slots, and item acquisition routes in your installed version.
- Identify the content you are building for. Compare the requirements of PvE, PvP, and any dungeon mode separately; do not assume a character skill bar applies where the mode replaces character skills.
- Match offense to the class’s live scaling. Check whether your intended damage is physical or magical and whether it focuses one target or several.
- Compare damage with survival and utility. Look at what defensive, healing, buff, or debuff choices actually contribute to the encounters you play.
- Check the opportunity cost. Compare the item stats and materials required before refining, reforging, or forging. Historical shop routes are not enough to identify today’s best option.
- Test the change before investing further. Where the game allows it, compare results in the same mode and against similar encounters so that a mode change or skill override does not obscure the difference.
What is not established
The official material located does not provide a current Ultra build table for Knight, Mage, and Archer, nor current class win rates, pick rates, or best-in-slot comparisons. The detailed refinement advice dates to 2014, the Archer skill reference to 2021, and the cited class and equipment descriptions are legacy references. Use those sources to understand possible role and stat logic, not as proof of a tested October 2026 meta build.
