For a general Daiwa Scarlet career build, start with Speed and Wit, then secure enough Stamina for the races you need to clear. Peak Blue is described as a Mile and Medium specialist who can run Front Runner or Pace Chaser, but the best choice depends on the target race, inherited aptitudes, and whether you are building for a career clear or competitive mode.
Choose a goal before setting stat targets
Daiwa Scarlet does not have one universally best build. A career clear, Team Trials Medium run, and a build aimed at a particular event can call for different stat priorities. The recommendations below are starting points rather than guaranteed winning configurations.
- Career clear: Build around the races in the career and aim for a reliable finish, not an endgame competitive stat sheet.
- Team Trials Medium: Use the specific stat targets below as a competitive-mode reference.
- Other distances or events: Reassess stamina, inherited aptitudes, and running style for the actual race conditions. Peak Blue is described as oriented toward Mile and Medium; a Long-distance build is a deliberate adaptation, not the default.
Build for a standard career clear
Prioritize Speed and Wit, with race-appropriate Stamina
A recent GameObserver guide recommends focusing on Speed and Wit for a general Peak Blue build. Treat that as a broad training direction, not a fixed stat cap: raise Stamina enough for the required races, and avoid sacrificing a needed stat simply to maximize Speed or Wit.
Career-clear targets can be lower than Team Trials targets, so do not use the competitive Medium numbers as a minimum for finishing the career. The amount of Stamina you need depends on the races you enter and the skills available to support the build.

Choose support cards for your account
There is no substantiated universal support-card deck for every account. Use the strongest available cards that improve useful training and offer relevant skill hints for your target. Consider the deck as a whole: training value helps you reach stats, while skill hints can provide tools that fit your distance and running style.
Team Trials Medium: a specific target to work toward
Game8’s guide, last updated April 12, 2026, lists the following Team Trials Medium targets. They are that guide’s recommendations for this mode and distance, not a career-clear requirement or a universal current-meta guarantee.

The same guide recommends a gold recovery skill such as Swinging Maestro to ease the Stamina burden and help against debuffers. Treat recovery as part of the build rather than assuming the listed Stamina figure works independently of skills and race conditions.
Front Runner or Pace Chaser?
Both Front Runner and Pace Chaser are suggested options for Peak Blue. The available guidance does not establish that one style is best in every race, so choose based on the target race, Daiwa Scarlet’s inherited aptitudes, and the skills your support cards can help you acquire.

- Front Runner: Consider it when it fits the race and your inherited aptitude and skill options.
- Pace Chaser: Consider it under the same conditions; it is also listed as a viable Peak Blue option.
Do not treat either style label as a performance guarantee. Race conditions and event objectives can change which build is appropriate.

GameObserver reports Peak Blue growth rates of 10% Speed and 20% Guts. A growth bonus is an input to training and support-card planning, not an instruction to train only the boosted stat. In particular, the reported Guts bonus does not replace the guide’s general Speed-and-Wit emphasis or the Stamina needed for the target races.
