What you need before building the Growth Chamber
The mission “Dijiang Upgrade and Maintenance I” connects construction to the Dijiang upgrade sequence. First return to the OMV Dijiang and ask Xaihi about the upgrades, then interact with the Control Nexus to perform its upgrade. Afterward, speak with Xaihi about the Growth Chamber. The END Wiki reproduces these mission steps and dialogue: Dijiang Upgrade and Maintenance I.
Build the Growth Chamber in an Empty Cabin [M]
- Go to the Working Sector on the Dijiang.
- Select an available mid-sized Empty Cabin [M]. The mission objective specifically requires this cabin type and location.
- Construct the Growth Chamber there.
Start cultivating a material
Open the Growth Chamber’s control panel and choose one of the quest’s sample materials to cultivate:
- Pink Bolete
- Kalkodendra
- Kalkonyx
The mission describes the chamber as cultivating mature fungal matter, vitrified plants, and rare minerals from seed materials. It says cultivation takes time, but does not give a precise cycle duration.

The cited mission entry does not state the construction cost, exact cultivation interval, output rate, minimum staffing requirement, or an operator bonus formula. A January 24, 2026 walkthrough from Nerd’s Chalk describes gathering rare materials, converting them to seeds, and cultivating copies over time, but its additional details about assignments, inventory destinations, efficiency, or growth timing are not established by the mission entry: Nerd’s Chalk Growth Chamber guide.
