Roblox’s official way to convert eligible creator earnings into real money is the Developer Exchange program, or DevEx. You cannot use it to withdraw purchased Robux, gift-card Robux, membership grants, or Robux from trading or reselling items you did not create.
How to cash out Robux through DevEx
DevEx is Roblox’s program for creators to exchange qualifying Earned Robux for money. Start by signing in to the Roblox account that holds the creator earnings, then review Roblox’s DevEx terms and use its application and payout process. Acceptance and exchange are subject to Roblox’s rules and discretion.
The current terms surfaced by Roblox Support list these eligibility requirements:
- Be at least 13 years old.
- Have at least 30,000 Earned Robux.
- Have a verified email address and an active DevEx portal account.
- Submit the applicable US tax form.
- Meet ongoing service requirements and comply continuously with Roblox rules.

Which Robux can be cashed out?
Eligibility depends on how the Robux were obtained, not simply the balance shown in your account. Roblox defines Earned Robux around compliant monetization of content you created, along with certain Roblox promotional awards. See Roblox’s Terms of Use for the applicable definition and exclusions.

Can you cash out purchased Robux or a Roblox gift card?
No. Buying Robux or redeeming a Roblox gift card does not make that balance eligible for DevEx. Roblox’s gift-card terms say credit can be redeemed for Robux or designated Roblox services and has no cash value except where required by law. A gift card is not a cash-out method.

Why you should avoid third-party Robux cash-out offers
Roblox’s terms identify attempts to exchange Robux for real money outside DevEx as a potential reason for losing eligibility. Treat websites or people offering to buy your Robux, convert a balance, or cash out an account as a risk to your account. Use Roblox’s official DevEx process rather than an outside marketplace or converter.
