Nerd’s Chalk identifies that area as the fish’s location and says the rod is required for Fallen-variant spawns; these are guide-reported mechanics, not official confirmation.
Where to find the Fallen Flying Gurnard
The Fallen Flying Gurnard is reported to spawn only in Sunken Reliquary, an underwater area in Tidefall. Nerd’s Chalk says fishing elsewhere will not spawn it. Its guide was updated January 19, 2026, and is a secondary source rather than official Fisch documentation: Nerd’s Chalk’s Fallen Flying Gurnard guide.
How to reach the suggested fishing spot
- Travel to Tidefall.
- Enter the Sunken Reliquary underwater area.
- Look for the broken archway with flowers. Nerd’s Chalk suggests fishing on its left side as a consistent spot.
- Equip the Fallen Rod and fish in the area.
The guide does not establish that the archway is the only viable spot or that it guarantees a catch.
What you need before fishing
- Location: Sunken Reliquary in Tidefall, according to Nerd’s Chalk.
- Rod: The guide says the Fallen Rod is required for Fallen-variant spawns. The fan-maintained Fisch Wiki says the rod is found in Tidefall and has a Fallen passive below Y-Level -400. These details are not official confirmation. Fisch Wiki: Fallen Rod (updated September 25, 2026).
- Other requirements: The cited sources do not establish additional prerequisites for catching this fish.
Ways to make attempts more efficient
Nerd’s Chalk recommends luck-focused enchantments and bait that speeds up fishing cycles, along with staying in one area and fishing continuously. Treat these as suggestions, not proven ways to increase this fish’s spawn rate: the guide gives no measured odds, guaranteed waiting time, or evidence that any method ensures the catch. Details are in its location and efficiency guide.

Are there specific weather, season, or bait requirements?
A fan-wiki search result for the base Flying Gurnard lists Shrimp, Day, Clear weather, and Summer. The available information does not verify that those preferences apply to the Fallen variant, so do not treat them as confirmed requirements for this catch. The base-fish entry is on Fandom’s Flying Gurnard page.
Spawn odds and a guaranteed catch time are not established by the cited guides. Fisch mechanics can change, and no official source confirming this location or rod requirement is cited here.
