Minecraft announced a free Super Saiyan hair Character Creator item alongside its planned Dragon Ball Z DLC in a September 19, 2025 recap. That announcement did not give the hair offer an end date, and there is no confirmation here that it can still be claimed. The later Dragon Ball Z add-on is for Minecraft: Bedrock Edition, sold separately.
What was the free Minecraft Dragon Ball Z hair?
The cosmetic was called the “Super Saiyan hair character creator item.” Minecraft’s September 19, 2025 recap said it was available to download at the time, in connection with the Dragon Ball Z DLC planned for later that year. That is a historical announcement, not confirmation of current availability. Minecraft’s September 2025 recap did not state an expiration date or a current price for the hair.
Can you still get the Super Saiyan hair?
It is not established whether the Super Saiyan hair can still be redeemed as of October 8, 2026. Check the in-game Character Creator or Dressing Room to see whether the item is offered to your account; the announcement alone cannot establish whether it remains available.
For owned character cosmetics, Minecraft Help points players to Dressing Room in Bedrock Edition. Marketplace content can be found under Marketplace and My Library. These locations are useful places to check, but they do not guarantee that this particular historical free item is still claimable. Minecraft Marketplace FAQ.

How is the Scouter offer different?
The Scouter is a separate Character Creator cosmetic, not another name for the Super Saiyan hair. Minecraft’s Dragon Ball Z article said the Scouter was free until December 4, 2025 at 10 a.m. PT, and available for purchase thereafter. That free period has ended; the article does not establish its present price or availability. Minecraft’s Dragon Ball Z article.
What does the Dragon Ball Z DLC include?
Minecraft’s later article presents the Dragon Ball Z add-on as available and says it requires Minecraft: Bedrock Edition, which is sold separately. The add-on is distinct from the free hair announcement: owning or claiming a cosmetic is not the same as owning the DLC.
