Switch perspective from the ring menu
- Press and hold the PS4 touchpad until the ring menu opens.
- Select Third-person view toggle to change between first- and third-person views.

Perspective toggle and orbit camera are different
The third-person-view toggle changes the perspective. Orbit camera is a separate camera control listed in the ARK controls reference; it is not the ring-menu option named for switching perspective.
If the third-person option is missing
Check the applicable host or local configuration for the third-person-camera setting. The ARK Host/Local Settings reference documents an option to allow or disallow third-person camera on PS4. Session rules may also affect availability, but the cited references do not specify their exact behavior.

Camera movement while aiming or riding
The controls reference describes camera movement while looking and aiming, including in first- and third-person when riding a tame. These camera controls are separate from selecting the third-person-view toggle.
