Open the Start Menu, go to Info, select Hunter Profile, enter profile edit mode, and then edit the Title widget on your top page.
Steps to change your title
- Open the Start Menu and select the Info section, which is marked with a question-mark icon.
- Select Hunter Profile.
- Enter profile edit mode. Press L1 on PlayStation, LB on Xbox, or Q on keyboard.
- Select Edit Top Page Widgets.
- Select the Title widget.
- Choose Change and set the title elements in the title editor.
Why the edit controls may not appear
The most common problem is skipping the edit-mode step. The title widget can only be changed after you activate profile editing with the platform button above, so if you are browsing Hunter Profile without that button press, nothing will be editable. Press the control for your platform while you are on the Hunter Profile screen, then go to Edit Top Page Widgets again.

Title is not the same as hunter name
Capcom’s official online manual describes Character Edit Vouchers as the item used to change a hunter’s or Palico’s name. The title steps above do not involve a voucher, so do not follow name-change instructions if your goal is only a new title. If you want to change the actual name, that is a separate character-edit process.
Some players have asked whether a bonus cosmetic set is required. The Xbox store listing for the Premium Bonus Hunter Profile Set describes optional profile cosmetics, including nameplates that can be edited through Edit Nameplate under Hunter Profile or Edit Widgets on the top page. That listing does not say the set is needed to change a title, and the title steps above do not depend on it.

The action also now flows seamlessly from cutscenes to gameplay, resulting in a new level of immersion.
What the sources do not establish
- Title list: The title editor offers three title elements, but the sources do not give a complete list of options or the rules for unlocking them.
- Propagation: The sources do not confirm whether a new title appears immediately on every public profile, log, or leaderboard.
- Currency of menus: The step-by-step guidance comes from community guides dated February 28, 2025 and March 1, 2025, and from Capcom’s online manual. If a later update has moved menus or labels, follow the on-screen labels and the same general path: Info, Hunter Profile, edit mode, Edit Top Page Widgets, Title, Change.
In short, the title change is a Hunter Profile task: enter edit mode with L1, LB, or Q, then work through Edit Top Page Widgets, Title, and Change. It does not require a Character Edit Voucher, and it is a different operation from changing your hunter’s name.
