For your own PS4 account, Sony does not document a permanent menu showing lifetime hours for every game. The built-in playtime display is for a child account: it shows that day’s time logged in to the console, not time spent playing a particular game. Sony’s annual PlayStation Wrap-Up has also shown gaming statistics, but the published 2024 and 2025 access periods have ended.
Check a child account’s playtime on PS4
A family manager can see a child’s total playtime for the day at Settings > Parental Controls/Family Management > Family Management. The child can also check the display on the login screen, in the upper-right corner of the home screen, or through Quick Menu > Settings > Parental Controls/Family Management > Play Time for Today.

Sony defines playtime as the time the child is logged in to the PS4, even when no game or application is running. It is a daily console-login total—not a game-by-game timer or a lifetime history. - The child must have a separate child account.
- The managing adult must be the family manager or an appointed parent/guardian.
- The child account must have a time zone configured.
Family Management also lets an authorized adult set limits on daily duration and playable hours. Those controls do not provide a retrospective lifetime record of time spent in each game. Sony’s setup and management requirements are described in its PS4 parental-controls support page.

Check a child’s recent playtime from a phone
Sony’s PlayStation Family app describes a parent-facing view of a child’s recent activity and playtime hours from the past week. This is for monitoring a child account; it is not a way for an adult player to retrieve their own all-time PS4 game history. Details are on the PlayStation parental controls page.
What PlayStation Wrap-Up can—and cannot—show
Wrap-Up is a limited annual recap, not a permanent PS4 history page. Sony’s 2024 recap offered eligible PS4 and PS5 players most-played games and monthly gaming statistics. Its access period ended January 10, 2025. Eligibility required a regional PSN account, age 18 or older, and at least 10 hours of play during 2024; Sony also specified data-collection consent requirements for some regions. Sony’s 2025 recap included total hours across single-player and multiplayer titles, along with most-played games, genres, and trophy milestones. Its access period ended January 8, 2026. That recap’s total-hours figure should not be mistaken for a promise of a permanent lifetime total for each game. See the 2025 Wrap-Up announcement.
Can you see your own lifetime hours for each PS4 game?
Sony’s published guidance confirms a child’s daily logged-in time and the temporary annual Wrap-Up recaps, but it does not establish a general PS4 setting that displays an adult account’s lifetime hours game by game. There may be game-specific statistics or other account data in particular cases, but the official material cited here does not establish a general method for retrieving a complete historical record. It also does not verify that third-party trackers can reliably reconstruct past playtime.
