Roblox does not publish one standard duration for every voice chat suspension, and there is no guaranteed screen that shows an end time for every restriction. Start with the moderation notification for the affected account. If it does not state when access returns, check the case in Violations & Appeals if it is listed there; otherwise, contact Roblox Support and ask for the end time of that specific action.
Check the moderation notification first
- Sign in to the Roblox account affected by the restriction.
- Find the moderation notification for the voice chat action. Review its details and any appeal option it provides.
- Look for an end time or an indication of when the restriction lifts. Roblox’s guidance does not promise that every voice-only suspension will display a countdown or end date. If the notice gives no timing, use the case-specific route below.
Roblox says the duration of moderation decisions varies and that consequences can depend on the violation and the user’s history. A voice restriction may be a feature-level action, or it may accompany further moderation of the Roblox account. There is no universal duration you can reliably calculate from the type of restriction alone. Roblox Support’s Content Moderation on Roblox guidance explains that moderation duration and action vary.

Check the case in Violations & Appeals
If the notification directs you to Violations & Appeals and the violation appears there, open the listed case to review its information and monitor its status. Roblox only supports this route for eligible cases; it is not a general suspension-timer page. Roblox’s appeal guidance describes checking eligible cases and their status.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsContact Roblox Support if there is no end time or listed case
If the notice does not say when the restriction ends and the action is not available in Violations & Appeals, use the Roblox Support form. Provide the affected account’s username, a concise description of the voice chat action, and the account owner’s valid email. Ask directly for the effective duration or end time. Support is the appropriate route for clarification, but Roblox does not guarantee that it will disclose a timer or restore access. For support routing, see Roblox Contact Us.

Appeal deadlines and what an appeal does
If you believe the moderation action was wrong, follow the appeal option shown in the notification. Roblox’s general guidance gives users 30 days from the moderation action to appeal. For users in the European Union, it says an initial moderation action can be appealed within six months. Use the deadline that applies to your location and case, and avoid sending duplicate appeals after a moderation has already been reviewed.
An appeal is not an automatic reset: Roblox states, “Submitting an appeal does not guarantee the consequence will be removed.” A short restriction may also have lifted before an appeal is reviewed. Roblox gives a time-lapsed 20-minute timeout as an example of a consequence that may no longer be applicable by then; it is not a standard voice chat suspension length. Roblox’s appeal guidance covers appeal timing and limits, while its moderation guidance gives the example.

Make sure this is a suspension, not a voice availability issue
A missing voice icon or a disconnected voice control alone does not prove that Roblox suspended voice chat. The feature may not be available because of eligibility, regional availability, or whether the experience supports voice. In an experience with voice, the voice controls can also be used to connect or disconnect without any moderation action. Check the notice for evidence of an actual restriction before treating a connection problem as a suspension. See Roblox’s Voice FAQ and instructions for turning on Voice Chat.
