To find out whether a racing-game DLC is included, verify three separate things: the exact contents of your edition, the account that owns it, and whether the add-on is installed and available to the game. An edition label such as Deluxe, Gold, or Ultimate is not proof by itself. Open the official listing for your game and platform, identify the named DLC or pass, then confirm its entitlement and installation status in your storefront or launcher.
If the DLC is shown as owned and installed but does not appear in the game, check the account, base-game access, platform and region compatibility, code-redemption requirements, and any title-specific activation instructions.

The fastest reliable check starts with precise product details. Gather these before opening a support ticket or buying another copy.

- Edition name: Write down the exact edition shown on your receipt, library page, box, or account history.
- Platform and storefront: For example, Steam on PC, PlayStation Store, Xbox, Ubisoft Connect PC, or the EA app. A purchase on one storefront may not create an entitlement on another.
- Specific content: Identify the expansion, car pack, track pack, season pass, VIP membership, pre-order bonus, or other item you expect.
- Account: Know which account purchased the game and which publisher account, if any, is linked to it.
Keep the order confirmation or product code available. It can show whether you bought a bundle, a base game with a pass, or only the base game with a similarly named bonus.

Read the official edition contents, not just the label
Open the official store or publisher page for the exact game and compare its editions. PlayStation advises checking the edition before purchasing additional content, and the same principle applies on every platform. Look for an itemized contents list rather than relying on marketing terms such as Deluxe or Ultimate.
Record the named add-on
Copy the DLC name exactly as it appears. A season pass may include several releases without naming every future item, while a car pack may be listed separately even when it is sold in a bundle. If the listing says only "bonus content," do not assume that phrase means a particular expansion, track, or vehicle pack.
Check exclusions and timing
Edition pages can distinguish between launch content, post-launch content, pre-order items, and promotional bonuses. Read notes about release dates, early access, region restrictions, platform versions, and whether a pass covers future additions. A pass described as including a first expansion does not necessarily include later expansions unless the terms say so.
Separate digital ownership from physical bonuses
A physical edition can contain a download code rather than a disc-based entitlement. The code may have its own redemption deadline, regional restriction, or one-time-use status. Keep the code insert and receipt until the bonus appears in your account. A disc can provide access to the base game while a separately redeemed code controls the DLC.

Check ownership and installation on your platform
Ownership and installation are different checks. A storefront can recognize that your account has a right to use an add-on while the files are not downloaded. Conversely, files can remain on a drive after an entitlement is removed or an account is changed. Use the platform-specific procedure below.

Steam on PC
- Open Library and select the racing game.
- Open the game’s Properties.
- Choose DLC. Steam’s management view lists the DLC associated with the game and indicates whether each item is installed.
- Use the game’s Library page and its DLC area, including Manage My [game] DLC when shown, to review the same ownership and installation information.
- Enable the checkbox for an owned item if Steam shows it as available but not installed, then allow the download to finish.
Steam Support describes this screen as follows: "From the DLC installation and management menu you can see what DLC you have for the game and whether if it’s been installed." The wording is awkward, but the practical distinction is clear: the menu is both an ownership and installation check.
PlayStation
- Open your game library or the game’s store page while signed in to the purchasing account.
- Open the game’s add-on or manage-content area and locate the named DLC.
- Check whether the item is purchased or included and whether a download is pending.
- Start the download, or select the add-on and choose the platform’s download option if it is not installed automatically.
- After installation, restart the game and look for the publisher’s documented location for the content, such as a new event, menu, car dealership, or campaign entry.
Included content may still require a separate download. The PlayStation listing is the authoritative place to resolve whether an item belongs to your edition; the console’s download screen then confirms whether its files are present.

Xbox
On Xbox, verify the game and add-on under the account that made the purchase, then open the game’s manage-installation screen to see whether the DLC is installed. The exact labels can vary by console generation and system update, so use the current account and library views rather than assuming a menu from another game.
Microsoft’s Xbox Game Development Kit documentation defines an entitlement as "the customer’s right to access and use a digital product, including games, subscriptions, and add-ons." That documentation is developer-facing. For a consumer check, the account’s order history, library, and manage-game screen are the practical evidence. An entitlement can be active, inactive, expired, or revoked, so a title appearing in a historical purchase list does not by itself prove that the game can use it now.
Ubisoft Connect PC
- Open the Ubisoft Connect PC library while signed in to the Ubisoft account linked to the platform account that owns the game.
- Inspect the edition label on the game’s library entry.
- Open the game’s Properties page and review the listed owned DLC or add-ons.
- Check the installation state and install any owned item that is not present locally.
The edition label and Properties page answer different questions: the first helps identify the package, while the second shows the add-ons associated with the account.

EA app
Do not expect every EA add-on to appear as a separate library tile. EA Help states: "Only base games, and not downloadable content (DLC) or expansion packs, are visible in your EA app Library." In that EA app Library context, the absence of a separate DLC tile is not proof that the add-on is missing.
Open the base game’s management, details, or add-on area and check the purchasing account. If the content came through a subscription, confirm that the subscription or other access method still grants the base game. EA says DLC requires its base game; an add-on associated with an account may not be usable after access to a subscription-provided base game ends.
Interpret the result: three states that are easy to confuse

These states do not automatically arrive together. An edition can include a DLC that is owned but waiting for a download. A download can finish while the wrong account is signed in. A valid entitlement can remain unusable when the base game is supplied by a subscription that has ended.
What to do when the DLC is included but not showing
Work through the checks in this order. Stop when the missing state is identified; repeating downloads will not repair an account mismatch or an expired access condition.
1. Confirm the purchasing account
Sign out and back in if necessary, then compare the active account with the account shown on the order receipt. On PC, verify both the storefront account and any linked publisher account. Family sharing, console profiles, and multiple PC users can make the game launch under a different identity from the one that bought the add-on.

2. Confirm the base game is accessible
Launch the base game from the same account that owns the DLC. If the base game was available through a subscription or trial, check that access is still active. An add-on does not normally replace the base game; it extends a base-game license that must remain usable.
3. Check the storefront’s installation state
Return to the platform procedure above and distinguish "owned" from "installed." Start the download, wait for it to complete, and restart the game. On PC, allow the launcher to finish updates before testing; an incomplete patch can prevent a newly installed add-on from being recognized.
4. Look for a code-redemption requirement
Physical editions, retailer promotions, and some digital bonuses may require a code. Redeem it on the platform and region for which it was issued, then restart the game under the account that redeemed it. If the code reports that it was already used, preserve the receipt and contact the retailer or platform support rather than buying the DLC again.
5. Check platform, region, and game-version compatibility
A license can be valid for one platform generation, region, or edition while the installed game belongs to another. Compare the add-on’s store listing with the exact game version on the device. Do not assume that a PC, console, or remastered edition automatically shares every add-on with a different release.

Some games reveal bonus cars, tracks, or events only after a tutorial, menu visit, save-file refresh, or online connection. Follow the publisher’s current instructions for that racing game. An example documented by EA distinguishes digital and physical bonus content for a particular title; that behavior is game-specific and should not be treated as a universal rule.

7. Repair only after the account checks pass
Once ownership, base-game access, and compatibility are confirmed, use the platform’s standard repair options: restart the launcher, restore licenses where the platform provides that function, verify or repair game files on PC, and reinstall the add-on if necessary. These steps address local recognition problems; they cannot create an entitlement that the account does not own.

Never assume that an edition purchased on one platform transfers to another. Transfer rules depend on the game, publisher account, platform agreement, and type of content.
Ubisoft has described an Xbox-to-PC offer in which most editions and DLC carry over for most games, with consumables among the exceptions. That is an offer-specific rule, not a universal guarantee. Before switching platforms, check the exact game’s current terms and distinguish permanent DLC from consumable currency, temporary boosts, and promotional items.

How to compare editions before buying
Use the following matrix while viewing the official listing. Fill in the exact names instead of treating edition tiers as universal packages.

Save a screenshot or PDF of the contents list at purchase time, especially when an edition is sold during a limited promotion. Keep the order number and platform visible in the same record so support can connect the product package to the account.
When to contact support
Contact the platform or publisher only after the edition listing and account checks disagree. Provide concise evidence:
- Game title, platform, region, and installed version.
- Exact edition and the DLC or pass named in its contents list.
- Purchasing account identifier and order number, with sensitive payment details removed.
- Screenshot showing the storefront’s ownership state.
- Screenshot showing the installation state or the in-game error.
- Any physical code, redemption message, or subscription status relevant to the claim.
Explain which state is failing: the item is not owned, owned but not installed, installed but not recognized, or recognized but inaccessible in-game. That distinction directs support to licensing, download, account-linking, or game-activation fixes instead of sending you through the same steps repeatedly.
