To check money from a PlayStation gift card you’ve redeemed, check your PlayStation account’s wallet. Sony’s instructions do not describe a separate balance checker for an unused physical card, so the wallet steps below show funds already added to an account.
Check your PlayStation wallet balance
Choose the route for the device you have. Each one displays the wallet balance for the signed-in account.

On a web browser
- Go to PlayStation Store and sign in.
- Open the profile menu and select Payment Management. The wallet balance appears at the top.
On PS5
- Open PlayStation Store.
- Press Triangle, then choose … (More). The wallet balance appears beside the profile icon.
On PS4
- Open Settings > Account Management > Account Information > Wallet.
- Sign in if prompted, then select Add Funds. The balance appears in the top-right area.
In the PlayStation App
- Open PlayStation Store, then open the menu.
- Select Payment Methods. The wallet balance appears at the top.
These menu labels come from Sony’s Singapore English wallet guide; wording and payment details can differ by account region. You do not need to buy anything or redeem another card to view the wallet.
If you have not redeemed the card
The wallet routes above show funds in an account, not the remaining value on an unused physical gift card. Sony’s published guidance covers checking the wallet and redeeming voucher codes, but does not document a separate unused-card balance lookup. A wallet top-up voucher adds funds when redeemed. PlayStation Store voucher codes contain 12 digits, are single-use, and must match the PlayStation Store account’s region, according to Sony’s US voucher guidance: how to redeem a voucher code.

#1 Best Overall
- Redeem for anything on PlayStationStore: games, add-ons, PlayStationPlus and more.
- Everything you want to play. Choose from the largest library of PlayStation content.
- Use gift card funds to contribute towards PlayStationPlus memberships.
If the redeemed funds are missing
Confirm which account redeemed the code
Check that you are signed in to the same account used to redeem the voucher. Sony says wallet funds and content cannot be transferred between accounts, so a different account will not show the funds.
Check transaction history
In Account Management, review transaction history. Sony says a redeemed voucher appears in the transaction details. This can help establish whether the code was already applied: Sony’s voucher troubleshooting guidance.
Rank #2
- Redeem for anything on PlayStationStore: games, add-ons, PlayStationPlus and more.
- Everything you want to play. Choose from the largest library of PlayStation content.
- Use gift card funds to contribute towards PlayStationPlus memberships.
Check the code and region
Make sure the code was entered correctly and that its region matches the region of the PlayStation Store account. Voucher codes are single-use; trying to redeem one again will not add the funds a second time.
Contact PlayStation Support if it still does not appear
If you are sure the voucher has not been redeemed, Sony may ask for proof of purchase and images of both sides of the voucher. Follow the steps in Sony’s voucher-code troubleshooting guide.
Rank #3
- Redeem for anything on PlayStationStore: games, add-ons, PlayStationPlus and more.
- Everything you want to play. Choose from the largest library of PlayStation content.
- Use gift card funds to contribute towards PlayStationPlus memberships.
Child accounts and wallet funds
A child account does not have its own wallet and cannot add funds. Eligible purchases can be made using the family manager’s wallet, subject to the monthly spending limit. A wallet top-up voucher must be redeemed on the family manager’s account. See Sony’s payment methods and family wallet information.
Sony’s wallet instructions cover Singapore English, while the voucher and payment guidance linked here is for the United States. Voucher eligibility, payment options, currencies, and interface wording may vary by region.
