Roblox does not have one documented version-check screen that works on every device. If you want the Roblox app or client version, the official options vary by platform; if you want your device’s iOS, Android, or Fire OS version, check it in device settings instead. On iPhone and iPad, Roblox’s App Store listing shows recent releases in Version History, but that may not identify the exact build installed on your device.
First, decide which version you need
“Roblox version” can mean the Roblox app/client build or the operating system running on your phone or tablet. They are different numbers: checking Android version in Settings, for example, does not tell you which Roblox build is installed.

For most players, the practical question is whether Roblox is up to date. Check the official app-store listing for an update option where available. If you need the exact installed numeric build, the official consumer instructions available here do not document a universal screen for every platform.
Check Roblox’s app version or update status
iPhone and iPad
- Open the Roblox listing in the Apple App Store.
- Review Version History to see recent published Roblox releases. The list changes as new releases appear, so it is not a permanently current version reference.
- If the listing offers an update, use the store’s update control. Roblox Support directs iOS users to the App Store when they need to update Roblox: iOS App Update Loop.
The listing’s Version History shows published versions, but it may not show a simple installed-version field in every device view. Do not assume the latest entry is the exact build already on your iPhone or iPad. Roblox’s developer text on the listing says, “To make Roblox work better for you, we deliver updates regularly.”

Android
Check the official Roblox listing in Google Play for update availability. The official Android troubleshooting guidance does not give a path to a numeric installed Roblox build, and the store listing is not established as a reliable display of the precise build already on the device.
If Roblox appears outdated, use the Play Store listing to check whether an update is offered rather than treating the Android version in Settings as the Roblox version.

Windows
Roblox Support identifies the newer Microsoft Store edition by the name Roblox – Windows; the older Store edition is named Roblox. The newer app has a blue icon and the old app a light-gray icon, according to Roblox’s Windows app guidance.
These names and icons help identify which Windows app edition you have, not its numeric installed build. The official consumer guidance does not document a universal numeric Roblox Player version screen for Windows.

Check your device’s operating-system version
Use these settings paths only when you need the device OS version, not the Roblox app build. Roblox lists these steps in its mobile system requirements guidance:
- iPhone or iPad: Settings > General > About, then read Version.
- Android: Settings > About phone > Software information, then read Android version. Labels can vary by device maker.
- Amazon Fire: Quick Settings > More > Device > About, then check the Fire OS information.
When these steps do not show the exact installed Roblox build
Roblox’s official consumer instructions are not consistent across platforms: iOS has a store Version History, Windows guidance distinguishes app editions, and mobile support pages explain OS-version checks. They do not establish a single user-facing numeric installed-version screen for all devices.

Roblox Support suggests clearing the App Store cache by tapping the same bottom navigation icon ten times, then force-closing and reopening the App Store and updating Roblox directly through it. The steps are described in Roblox’s iOS App Update Loop guidance.
