Which new Gran Turismo 7 track does the title mean?
The October 2026 Spec IV update is scheduled to add Sportsland SUGO. Autumn Ring is also announced, but for a separate December 2026 update, so SUGO is the likely answer to “the new track” in an October context. Sony’s October 3 announcement schedules the update for October 15; dates and event details may change. Gran Turismo’s Spec IV announcement lists both circuits and their planned release windows.

SUGO is a technical circuit with pronounced elevation changes. Kazunori Yamauchi also describes its flowing layout and Dunlop bridge. Those characteristics suggest what to assess when choosing a car, but they do not establish which car is quickest. Yamauchi’s announcement gives the circuit description.

For the Singapore Nations Cup event, use the prescribed car
If you are entering the 2026 Gran Turismo World Series Singapore Nations Cup SUGO event, follow its rules rather than treating the car as a universal recommendation. The official event page specifies the Dallara SF23 Super Formula / Toyota ’23 and Racing Hard tyres for qualifying and the sprint. Qualifying is one lap; the sprint is 15 laps, with no required tyre change listed. See the Singapore race details for the published event regulations.

For open play, compare cars instead of guessing a winner
The official pages do not publish a tested SUGO car ranking, lap-time comparison, or verified fastest car. The event’s SF23 selection is specific to that Nations Cup format, not evidence that it is the best choice in other modes or under different restrictions.
- Check the event rules first. Confirm the permitted category, PP cap, drivetrain, and tyre restrictions. A car that suits your driving may not be eligible.
- Make a like-for-like comparison. Run cars you already own in the same session conditions, with the same tyres and setup approach. Change one factor at a time so you can tell what helped.
- Judge control as well as pace. Compare lap-to-lap consistency, braking confidence over elevation changes, and how comfortable you feel through the sequence of corners. A single quick lap is less useful if you cannot repeat it.
- Choose the car you can drive reliably. If two options are close, prefer the one that makes braking points and corner exits easier for you to repeat.
These are practical comparison criteria inferred from SUGO’s official circuit description and published dimensions, not reported test results.

What SUGO’s published dimensions can—and cannot—tell you
The official Singapore event page lists SUGO at 3,586 m long, with a 69.8 m elevation difference, 13 corners, and a 704.5 m longest straight. These figures establish the shape and scale of the circuit, not car performance: they do not identify a fastest vehicle or prove that one type of car has an advantage.

Use the official car guide as a way to explore, not as a SUGO ranking
Sony’s guide to GT7’s 1.71 update illustrates matching a car’s character to the circuit and driving experience: it points to the Caterham Seven Superlight R500 for a technical track and the Hyundai IONIQ 6 N for a fast circuit.
