If you want Hall effect sticks in a controller that works with PS5, the Nacon Revolution 5 Pro is a clearly documented option. The Victrix Pro BFG Reloaded is a modular alternative described with Hall effect sticks and triggers. Neither should be treated as a like-for-like DualSense replacement: check its PS5 feature support, layout, included modules and exact product version before buying.
What Hall effect sticks do—and what they don’t
Hall effect sticks sense movement magnetically rather than relying on the same contact-based sensing used by conventional potentiometer sticks. That design is intended to reduce the risk of stick drift, but it is not a guarantee against drift or other input problems. The available product information does not establish long-term comparative failure rates, so do not read “Hall effect” as a promise of a particular lifespan.
PS5-compatible controllers with Hall effect sticks
Nacon Revolution 5 Pro
Nacon lists the Revolution 5 Pro as compatible with PS5, PS4 and PC, and specifies Hall effect sensing in both its sticks and triggers. It offers customization options, but its PS5-specific tradeoffs matter: Nacon says its vibration motors work with PC and PS4 games, not dedicated PS5 games, and the controller does not have adaptive triggers. See Nacon’s product listing and Nacon support for current model details.
Nacon also says the controller uses a dedicated dongle for compatibility and cannot wake a PS4 or PS5; its support guidance says only a Sony DualSense can wake those consoles. If you want to power on the console from the controller or rely on DualSense-specific feedback, factor that into the choice rather than treating the Revolution 5 Pro as an unqualified upgrade.

Turtle Beach Victrix Pro BFG Reloaded
The Victrix Pro BFG Reloaded is a modular alternative described as having Hall effect thumbsticks and triggers. Keep the Reloaded distinct from the original Pro BFG: product coverage for one generation does not confirm the features or included parts of another. Before choosing a listing, confirm that it is specifically the Reloaded and that the modules you want are included. Check the current manufacturer specification for the exact regional product version; coverage describing the feature is not a substitute for a current SKU specification. Relevant product references include Victrix product information and The Verge’s product coverage.
How to choose between them
Start with the way you play and the PS5 features you expect, then compare the exact configuration being sold. Hall effect is only one part of whether a controller suits you.

- PS5 compatibility and game support: Confirm that the exact model supports PS5 and the games or modes you use. Do not assume that compatibility means every DualSense feature is present.
- Feedback features: If PS5 vibration or adaptive triggers are important, the Revolution 5 Pro’s documented limitations are a significant tradeoff.
- Stick layout and ergonomics: Decide whether you prefer symmetric or asymmetric sticks, and consider how the controller fits your hands and play style.
- Modularity: For the Victrix Pro BFG Reloaded, verify which modules come in the exact listing; a modular design does not mean every desired module is included.
- Controls and configuration: Compare calibration and dead-zone controls, remappable buttons and software support for the specific model.
- Wireless setup: Check whether a dongle is required and whether that connection arrangement works for your setup. Nacon specifies a dedicated dongle for compatibility.
- Repair route: Nacon says spare parts for the Revolution 5 Pro are available through the MyNacon portal. Check current regional service and part availability before relying on that option.
Checks to make before ordering
- Read the complete product name and confirm the generation, exact SKU and regional version.
- Verify PS5 compatibility and the specific features supported in PS5 games, especially vibration and adaptive triggers.
- For a modular controller, check the listing’s included modules rather than assuming a feature or module from another version carries over.
- Confirm the wireless connection method and any dongle requirement, plus whether the controller can wake the console if that matters to you.
- Check current price, stock, warranty, color and service terms with the manufacturer or retailer; these can vary by region and change over time.
