Eligible Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can claim three months of Discord Nitro through the Xbox app. The current promotion began on April 1, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. PT, and is available only in participating regions and to Discord accounts that meet Discord’s Nitro-history requirements.
Have your Xbox and Discord accounts ready, claim the offer from Game Pass > My benefits, and check which Discord account is signed in before confirming. Discord may also require a valid payment method, and Nitro becomes a paid monthly subscription after the three-month promotion unless you cancel it.

Who can claim the offer?
Discord’s current offer is for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers in eligible regions. Although Discord’s FAQ uses the broader phrase “all Game Pass subscribers,” its detailed promotion terms specify Game Pass Ultimate, so other Game Pass plans should not be assumed to qualify. See Discord’s current Xbox and Discord Nitro terms for the authoritative eligibility rules.

Payment and automatic renewal
The promotional period itself does not charge the saved payment method, but Discord may require valid payment information before activation. After three months, the promotion changes to a monthly recurring Nitro subscription. Discord continues billing the saved payment method until you cancel.
To stop the renewal on desktop or in a browser:
- Open Discord and select User Settings.
- Open Subscriptions.
- On the Nitro subscription banner, select Cancel.
- Follow the confirmation prompts.
Discord’s cancellation instructions contain the current account-management steps. Cancel before the three-month period ends if you do not want the subscription to renew.

Important warning for existing Discord subscribers
Users with an active Nitro Basic, Nitro Classic, or Server Boosting subscription who have never had a Nitro subscription may be able to activate the promotion. However, Discord says activating it can replace the existing subscription. Any remaining value may be forfeited and is not refunded.

Fix common claim and redemption errors
“Unknown Gift Code”
Discord associates this error with regional or eligibility restrictions. Confirm that the Discord account is in an eligible region and has not had Nitro or a Nitro trial during the restricted period.
“Looks like this promotion has reached its maximum number of claims”
The promotion has reached its total claim limit. Discord says support cannot increase that limit. A person who already received a promotion link may still be able to redeem it, but new claims are unavailable once the limit is reached.
“Your email isn’t verified”
Verify the email address attached to the Discord account, then reopen the promotion link and try again.
The Discord benefit is missing from Xbox
- Confirm that the Xbox app is signed in to the Microsoft account with the subscription.
- Check that the plan is Game Pass Ultimate.
- Confirm that the account is in an eligible region.
- Look under Game Pass > My benefits in the Benefits Hub.
- Check that the promotion is still available.
If the problem concerns the Game Pass account or the missing Xbox benefit, Discord directs users to Xbox Support. Discord Support is more appropriate for problems occurring after the promotion link opens on Discord.
What changed from older 2024 guides?
The frequently copied 2024 instructions are not the current terms. Discord’s documented promotion began on April 1, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. PT, and the current offer is three months of Nitro for eligible Game Pass Ultimate subscribers. Do not rely on older articles for dates, supported regions, plan eligibility, or redemption rules.
Quick Recap
- Not every Game Pass plan should be treated as eligible; the detailed terms specify Game Pass Ultimate.
- The offer is temporary, not permanent Nitro access.
- The promotion is tied to the Discord account signed in during redemption.
- A payment method may be required.
- Automatic monthly billing begins after the promotional period unless canceled.
- Existing Nitro Basic, Nitro Classic, or Server Boosting time may be replaced without a refund.
