To claim a Mystery Gift in Pokémon Pokopia, play until the Pokémon Center PC unlocks—Nintendo estimates about 30 minutes—then use Get Items > Mystery Gifts. Choose Get via Internet for a gift offered directly through the game, or Get with Code/Password to redeem a code. You need an internet connection and a Nintendo Account linked to the receiving user, but not a paid Nintendo Switch Online membership.
How to claim a Mystery Gift
- Start Pokémon Pokopia from the Nintendo Switch 2 HOME Menu and press A at the title screen.
- Play until the Pokémon Center PC is available. Nintendo estimates this takes approximately 30 minutes of play.
- Go to the PC in town and press A to interact with it.
- Select Get Items, then Mystery Gifts.
- Choose the claim method that matches the offer: Get via Internet or Get with Code/Password.
Nintendo’s Mystery Gift support instructions say an internet connection is required. The receiving user must also be linked to a Nintendo Account. Nintendo’s Pokopia product page says a Nintendo Switch Online membership is not required.
Choose the right claim method

Follow the method specified by the offer: a code will not substitute for an internet-distributed gift, or vice versa. Both methods require internet access.

Nintendo’s pages checked October 7, 2026 list the following offers. Offers and deadlines can change, so check the relevant Nintendo notice before trying to claim one.

After a gift arrives, the game saves automatically. The official Pokopia Mystery Gift instructions say furniture and items appear in Ditto’s bag, recipe lists can be checked at a workbench or in the main menu’s collection, and life coins can be checked at the Pokémon Center PC. Select Check Gifts at the PC to review gifts you have already received.

If Mystery Gifts or a code does not work
- Mystery Gifts is missing: Continue playing until the Pokémon Center PC becomes available; Nintendo estimates approximately 30 minutes of play.
- The game cannot connect: Confirm the Nintendo Switch 2 is online and that the receiving user is linked to a Nintendo Account. A paid Nintendo Switch Online membership is not required for the claim.
- A code is rejected: Check the entered characters and the offer’s redemption and in-game claim deadlines. The official instructions do not provide a complete code-error troubleshooting flow, so use the on-screen message and the promotion’s terms rather than assuming a specific cause.
- You deleted save data: The official instructions say code/password gifts generally cannot be claimed again on the same Nintendo Account after save-data deletion, unless that particular distribution explicitly permits repeat claims.
