Collect three qualifying items—preferably weapons—while you are inside the Donut Storm. Enter the pink storm area first, pick up each item there, and watch the quest counter to confirm progress. The guides covering this challenge place it in Fortnite’s 2025 Simpsons event; its availability as of October 8, 2026, is unverified, so check the in-game quest menu.
How to complete the Donut Storm quest
- Check that the quest is available. Open Fortnite’s in-game quest menu and look for “Collect Dangerous Objects Inside of Donut Storms.” The walkthroughs describing it concern the 2025 Simpsons event, and do not confirm that it is playable now.
- Start a match in the relevant mode and find the Donut Storm. Look for the pink storm area or its map indicator. One guide says it appears after the second storm circle closes, but the exact timing is not established as universal.
- Move inside the affected area. Being nearby is not enough: make sure your character is within the Donut Storm before picking anything up.
- Pick up three qualifying objects inside the storm. Weapons are the clearest choice; guides also mention tools. The sources do not provide an authoritative, complete list of eligible items.
- Check the quest counter. Confirm each pickup registers before leaving the storm. If an item does not count, try a clearly qualifying weapon or tool while still inside the area.
What counts as a dangerous object?
Use a weapon when possible, since it is the safest fit for “dangerous objects.” Some walkthroughs include tools as well, but they do not establish every qualifying item. A chainsaw is reported to have worked for some players, though that is a community report rather than a guaranteed rule.

If pickups are not counting
- Confirm your position: the pickup must happen inside the Donut Storm, not before you enter or after you leave.
- Watch the counter: use it to see whether each pickup advances the objective.
- Try a clearer item: if an ambiguous object fails, pick up a weapon or tool while inside the storm.
- Consider the reported workaround cautiously: some players say dropping an item and picking it up again inside the storm helped. This is anecdotal and may not work consistently.
