Complete “A Lay of the Land” in one Spaceport round: inspect the shipping notes in Jiangsu Warehouse, collect the LiDAR Scanner from Control Tower A6, then extract with it and deliver it to Shani in Speranza. The scanner must make it back with you to finish the quest.

How to complete each objective
1. Check the shipping notes at Jiangsu Warehouse
Head to Jiangsu Warehouse in northwest Spaceport. Go up to the second floor and enter the foreman’s office overlooking the warehouse. The shipping notes are on a desk; interact with them to record the first objective. PC Gamer’s guide places the notes in this office.
2. Collect the LiDAR Scanner at Control Tower A6
Continue to Control Tower A6 in central Spaceport. Search its upper, or second, floor around the cubicles and divider walls. The scanner is inside a box: interact with the box, then make sure you pick up the LiDAR Scanner quest item. Opening or searching the container alone is not enough. 3. Extract and give the scanner to Shani
With the scanner in your inventory, reach an extraction point and leave Spaceport. Once back in Speranza, deliver it to Shani to complete the quest. If you fail to extract without protecting the scanner, you may need to recover it by running the quest objectives again.
How to reduce the risk of losing the scanner
If your augment has a safe pocket, place the scanner there after picking it up. That can protect the quest item if the raid ends badly; GameSpot recommends using a safe-pocket augment. It does not remove the need to complete the round and deliver the item.
Jiangsu Warehouse and Control Tower A6 are distant objectives, and the tower may be contested. There is no single route established as safest for every spawn, so adapt your approach to where you enter Spaceport and what is happening around you. Bring familiar weapons and healing items if useful; these are general preparation, not quest requirements.
